On the 99 Lightning? It's Mercon.

If you do any severe duty with your truck, change it. If it's street driven point a to point b, 100k is fine. I use Redline in my cars/trucks. I had a 97 Supra that I would change the fluid at the end of every race season. I did the fluid on my 99 Lightning at 80k and I should have done it...

I've never used B&M but I have Mobil 1 in my 88 Bonneville and it's at 300k. I also have a 99 Lightning but I change that with regular tranny fluid at the end of every summer. 92k, no problems and over 200 passes at the track. It also has a shift kit and a deep tranny pan +7 quarts.

What about the air in the overflow tank?

You can order that swaybar grease from the likes like Jegs or Summit racing. I needed some quick so I was able to get some at a local speed shop.
