Mix 3 Very Low Mile Samples?

Have a car that'd been minimally used for the past three years, so only was putting about 300-500 miles a year on it, but was changing the oil annually. I have three separate oil samples from each change that I never sent in. What's the thinking on mixing them well and combining them into one...

My first Rock Auto order problem. -PICS-

I order lots from Rock Auto and have had two issues over the years. One was a badly dented oil filter and the other was a torn air filer element. Both times their customer service with truly top notch. Fast, professional, no questions asked, and replacement parts sent immediately. In both cases...

    Quake State Defy TDS

Strike One: The [embarrassingly written] TDS. Strike Two: The highly ordinary VOA posted Here. (Where's the promised zinc?) Strike Three: The name. "Defy"? Stupid. Obviously, all my opinion and I am open to seeing another VOA from another lab for comparison, but I am not impressed and won't be...

Can I Use This Filter on an 05 Corolla?

I know this is not the recommended fitment but I have several Toyota 90915-03005/90915-20002 (crosses to a Wix 51348) that I'd like to use up. Can I use them without harm on a 2005 Toyota Corolla? FWIW...All the specs look the same other than exterior dimensions and the burst strength.

N.J. Classic Car Insurance Hagerty Or Grundy

I used to speak highly of Grundy and had several classic cars insured by them in the past, up to eight at one point simultaneously. They gave me a problem with several vehicles I wanted them to add and they refused. After the third time, I switched to someone else and have been mostly happy...

    Vitron Tires?

Anyone know anything about or try Vitron tires? See them available locally and never heard of them. They are Taiwanese, which is probably already a strike against them. They are made by a company called Vee Rubber.

Purolator May Replace Metal With Plastic

It's actually comical to read the details of this "invention", and the supposed justification for it. We all know that is all about money (saving it) for the manufacturer. But, in the patent documents linked to by the OP, I just learned that besides being "difficult to manufacture", the steel...

    2000 Contour UOA, opinions please

I'm not an expert, but I don't think that silicon is high enough to have caused the iron/alum wear. Not sure what else could be going on here. Is this car new to you or have you owned it long before this run, and therefore know the previous oil change interval history?
