I know this is not the recommended fitment but I have several Toyota 90915-03005/90915-20002 (crosses to a Wix 51348) that I'd like to use up. Can I use them without harm on a 2005 Toyota Corolla? FWIW...All the specs look the same other than exterior dimensions and the burst strength.

I'm not an expert, but I don't think that silicon is high enough to have caused the iron/alum wear. Not sure what else could be going on here. Is this car new to you or have you owned it long before this run, and therefore know the previous oil change interval history?
