    Discount Tire Disappointment

Thanks for the replies, I'm feeling better reading your advice. Who is going to notice the scratches inside the rim? Nobody but me. I was also worried about the amount of weight needed to balance the tires but have been told that even 2 ounces for a time/wheel combination this size isn't...

    Discount Tire Disappointment

Just need to rant a little I guess... Had Pirelli Scorpion Verde All Season Plus ties installed on our 2012 Acura MDX at Discount Tire yesterday. I had researched tires and was down to these and the Continental CrossContact LX20. My plan was to wait until Memorial day and take advantage of...

Best Value Tires For Compact / Midsize Car ?

The last 3 sets of tires I have purchased have been Yokohama's (Avid V4S and Avid Envigor on a 2004 Accord I no longer own, and Avid Ascend on the TSX). I consider myself a consumer that doesn't look for the cheapest price but rather the best value, and I think Yokohama is tough to beat in that...

Tires for 05 Forester -What should I get?

I'm a fan of Yokohamas as a good value tire and I've purchased the last 3 Avid models (V4S and Envigor for an Accord I previously owned and now Ascend's for my TSX). I will say though that I've never made it to the treadlife warranty. Before I purchased the Ascend's last year I considered the...

    Mrs. Tdbo wins--New '12 Honda Accord LX-P

Congrats on the new Accord! I had a 7th generation Accord (2004) that was primarily serviced at Honda East when I lived in Cincinnati. Excellent dealership, excellent service. Like someone else mentioned, DriveAccord.net is an excellent resource.

    Tramontina Tri-Ply Stainless Cookware?

I replaced a set of Calphalon with the Tramontina Tri-Ply last year based on the Cooks Illustrated and numerous over positive reviews. So far so good. As someone else mentioned, don't wash stainless cookware in the dishwasher, and remember that you only need medium to medium-high heat.

    Best way to drain P/S?

After using the turkey baster or hand-soap pump to remove the old fluid and refilling with the same amount of new fluid, do you need to do anything else (e.g., turn the wheel from lock to lock)?

    Humidifier

We picked up a new Crane humidifier from Target a few weeks back. They were running a 24 hour sale on select items and this was included. It has great reviews on Amazon and Target, and it's Consumer Reports #4 rated tabletop humidifier and considered a Best Buy. Crane Humidifier

    CHECK YOUR TIRE PRESSURE!

I had new Yokohama Avid Ascend's installed today at DT and they set the rear passenger side pressure to 60psi! Needless to say I'll be having a conversation with the Manager tomorrow morning! My TSX calls for 32/30 but I like to keep them at 36/34.

    2013 Acura RDX

The new RDX is very nice. My wife and I first noticed the new generation at an auto show before the vehicle hit dealerships. Yokohama Avid Ascend or Goodyear Assur ComforTread

Thanks for the responses. The Goodyear's have received positive comments, and it seems the Ascend's are too new to get any real reviews yet. I deal with the Manager at my local DT, and while I was in the store today I told him I was torn between the two tires. For the second time he told me...

Yokohama Avid Ascend or Goodyear Assur ComforTread

I need new tires on my '07 TSX, and with DT's current $100 rebate promotion, the time to buy is now. After researching a bit, I'm down to the Yokohama Avid Ascend or the Goodyear Assurance ComforTread Touring. I had also considered the Michelin Primacy MXV4 (and MXM4), but eliminated them...
