    In the middle of an ATF filter change on a 4T65e transmission and I found a loose part in the pan what is this?

    I don't know that much about transmissions is it replaceable from underneath and if not would it damage anything if it is not reattached?

    In the middle of an ATF filter change on a 4T65e transmission and I found a loose part in the pan what is this?

    I am doing my first atf change on a 2005 Pontiac Montana SV6 and after removing the transmission pan I found what appears to be a tiny filter sitting in the bottom of the pan I would appreciate any help identifying this before I start putting things back together.
