I did a quick search, and I am now thoroughly confused, which means that I probably misunderstood you... it seems that these certifications conflict with each other, VW504 is low SAPS while Porsche A40 is high SAPS i.e. if I understood correctly, no oil will pass or have both certifications...

My main concern about going over 30 is that not cold starts, but rather how a thick oil might affect the oil pump life, since it was not designed for such heavy oil Also, seems to me that a lower viscosity oil will cool the turbo better, and keep engine cooler in general.

I contacted HPL, they said none of the above. They recommended Supercar 0w30 I researched it. it has fairly high SAPS and Calcium So now I am again thoroughly confused, as I understood that I need low SAPS and Calcium? also LSPI keeps popping up in my searches, and should mean low Calcium.

Thanks, but I cannot find either 40 or 15w40? https://www.advlubrication.com/collections/automotive-lubricants/products/no-vii-engine-oils there are no "straight" weights, only 5w20, 5w30, 10w20, 10w30, 10w40 and then I'll have to decide between HPL and Amsoil for the subsequent oil changes.
