Castrol 0w40 M SQ is low SAP with 10% PAO. The older 0w40 SP is mid SAP still and now has >30-<60% PAO was >10 - <25%

Castrol Edge 5w30 K has a 3.5 HTHS not average compared to US API 5w30's

Now Mobil 1 ESP 0w30 is API SQ

Just got a used oil analysis back from BS on my 2025 GMC L8T. The Castrol Edge Euro 0w40 ended up at 11.34cSt @KV100 after 3,700 miles (2,500 towing 6k lb trailer). I'm reading oil dilution might be the cause. The factory fill Dexos when drained was like water after a 674 mile break in. No oil...

What does that oil end up as and what is the OCI?

Fuel dilution was tested and not a issue. So I know the VII gave up. But I'm ok with it ending up at 11 cst after 5K miles. I'm not looking for long drain with a GDI engine. If I can figure out my problem attaching pdf's I'm put it up.

Viscosity being the same of the Castrol vs The Mobil 1 ESP they compete and perform the same. Soon ESP 0w30 will be less PAO.

Same approvals same viscosity same add package. They compete for the same use.

Castrol Edge 5w30 K is same as Mobil 1 ESP 5w30. Castrol Edge 0w30 LL same as Mobil 1 ESP 0w30

A Castrol Edge Euro 5w30 K or 0w40 and Mobil 1 ESP 5w30 or any of the 0w40 they offer. They all beat Dexos 1 Gen 3
