Thanks!! Seems odd that the 5w20 would have a better NOACK than the 5w30. So you wouldn’t necessarily recommend the 5w30 in our 2025 Mazda CX5 turbo? I am using Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5w30 right now.

Sorry - I was not clear. That car was out of warranty - just had the standard warranty. It was connecting rod failure. The CX5 has the 10 year warranty

Thanks. I do plan on getting that fluid changed every 20-30k miles. Mazda’s lifetime fluid is probably the lifetime of the warranty - once that’s up they don’t care…..

Here is the second page of the manual regarding the oil. Apparently in Mexico 0w30 is fine and doesn’t mention ILSAC

This is what I use in my 2025 Golf R. Only has 3k miles. Would you expect warranty issues from Mazda with that oil? What made you choose that? Can you post the UOA? Thanks!!

I don’t see the ILSAC mark on it like in my owners manual screenshot. I do see that on the Mobil 1 and Mobil 1 Extended Performance
