    HPL PCMO 5w-30 5.6k mi; 4Runner 90.6k mi

That is super helpful to know thank you, I have been planning to replace the pcv every 100k miles as preventative maintenance.

I and many others appreciate what you are doing!

    HPL PCMO 5w-30 5.6k mi; 4Runner 90.6k mi

I did, that thread was one of the reasons I went with HPL in all of my vehicles, even if I don't push the limits of the product, I still know it's one of the best options available. If I made the OCI interval based purely on logic and data, I'm sure I would be closer to 20k miles.

    HPL PCMO 5w-30 5.6k mi; 4Runner 90.6k mi

This is the example that sticks in my mind, I want to be clear that I do not think that deposits on this level would cause any perceivable mechanical issue, I still do not want them forming in my engine though...

    HPL PCMO 5w-30 5.6k mi; 4Runner 90.6k mi

We have seen on this board highly extended oil changes cause deposit buildup, even with great UOA reports. I do wish I had a vehicle I was willing to risk super extended oil changes on, but this isnt the one to do that with.

    HPL PCMO 5w-30 5.6k mi; 4Runner 90.6k mi

I will, although I don't expect to be near the limits of the lubricant, even with the way the vehicle is used.

    HPL PCMO 5w-30 5.6k mi; 4Runner 90.6k mi

I know the HPL is overkill for that interval, just like a store synthetic changed at 5k is, but I am not trying to maximize value, just trying to maximize protection and cleanliness, and not change oil quite as often as I have been.

    HPL PCMO 5w-30 5.6k mi; 4Runner 90.6k mi

This is the first sample of HPL in my/my wife's 4Runner. Previous two fills were Penzoil Ultra Platinum 5w-30. This vehicle has received mostly 5000 mile changes with store bought synthetics (PUP, Mobil 1 0w40, Castrol edge etc...) since 10,000 miles when we purchased it. I did a "short"...

    Mobil 1 5W-50 Supercar, 1500 Miles, C8 Z06 Corvette

Depending on the area, there may not be much speed enforcement. When I lived on the east coast, I found the police very much stuck to consistent hiding spots and speed traps for years, if you knew where they wouldn't be, you could speed without much risk of infraction

Unfortunately the filter has since been tossed, I do believe it had holes in the center tube, and I spread the pleats out to get a better look at the material captured by the filter, you can see more even pleat spacing in the other two pics. I didn't find any torn media on this one before I...

    Mobil 1 M1-210a C&P

The car has a full sump of HPL now, but I've used to EC on two cars now, and I'm sure I will again in the future

    Mobil 1 M1-210a C&P

This came off my 1992 Crown Vic, was run for 2 months and 1100 miles, with 4 qts of bulk conventional 5w-30, and 1 qt HPL ec30. This filter seems robust and well constructed, and did catch some carbon particles, certainly looks better than the last filter that came off this car, I will link the...

Thank you for the recommendation, it seems like it is getting harder and harder to find good oil filters for any application these days

1992 Crown victoria, unknown lube, unknown time

AODE, which is very similar to the 4R70W, different gear ratios, and a torque converter drain are some of the notable mechanical differences.

Not planning to sell, if all works out, it will be my daily driver. Haha yes I am after the deal, and comfortable doing the repairs if needed, I've had good luck in the past. This is the first UOA I have done on one of my older vehicles, it's interesting to have the data. In the past I've just...

I didn't realize they had date codes! Unfortunately these pics are from a week ago, the filter is long gone.

Motorcraft FL-820s, unknown time, unknown miles

A generic jobber filter from my work, I can't remember at the moment what it is. I will be cutting that one open as well though when it is changed after a short run

Motorcraft FL-820s, unknown time, unknown miles

I took this filter off of my 1992 Crown Vic, full story can be seen in the UOA thread here https://bobistheoilguy.com/forums/threads/1992-crown-victoria-unknown-lube-unknown-time.395431/ This filter looks pretty bad, but as far as I can tell, did not fail, no tears in the media that I could...
