    New Truck - Chevrolet 2500HD w/ 6.6L L8T

Picked this big fella up on Thursday. Felt like I needed to offset the Tesla that's been in our driveway with a big fuel-gulping American V8. 😂 It's a '24 Chevrolet 2500HD Custom with the 6.6 L8T gasoline engine. For 2024, this engine also comes with the Allison 10 speed, which was a big...

    Our New Model 3

Picked this girl up today. Special thanks go out to @JeffKeryk & @Cujet for pushing me to order the Performance variant a few months ago when I was deliberating. :ROFLMAO:

    Born To Ride

This is my son, Dylan. He's been on two wheels since he came down with dirtbike fever when he was three. Started him out on a Razor electric dirt bike as a trial to see if he actually was going to like it - then onto a Honda CRF50F, Yamaha PW80, and now a KX65. First day on the KX, he learned...

    Financial Advice

I recently left my federal job and am now working for a small contracting firm. As a fed, my retirement plan was pretty much "set it and forget it" in regards to my pension and TSP. In my new path, I feel that I need to be a bit more proactive in order to compensate for the pension that I...

    06 TSX - Under VC - 223k

I've owned this car since 10k miles. Steady diet of synthetics (usually SOPUS products, but no bias), mostly 5w30, with some xW40s here and there - running Edge 0w40 this fill. OCIs dictated by the dashboard. Usually 6-7k miles. Fram Ultra swapped every other oil change. It's my daily driver...

    Yard Scooter

We have a 17 year old son who has been doing the mowing for me the past few years. He joined the Army and has been off at boot camp for two months now. I was joking with him before he left that I'd have to get a new mower now that those duties are going to fall back on me. It first started off...

    Ford E350 Box Truck

Hello - I am in the market for a box truck for a small business my wife started last year. A 1998 Ford E350 popped up yesterday and I'm going to take a look at it this afternoon. It looks to be in good shape and the price is right. It has 160k miles. The current owner purchased it a year ago...

    A/C Compressor Field Coil

The A/C in my TSX went out last week. I diagnosed it as a failed field coil. I ordered a new one (OEM Honda) and tore everything apart in preparation. The new one arrived yesterday and I installed it. The A/C worked for five minutes and then quit again. I diagnosed it this morning again as a...

    TSX @ 188k Miles

Replaced the valve cover gasket last week due to a slight leak. Here is a pic of what I found underneath the VC. I bought this car with 10k on it 7 years ago. It has been a great car.

Seeking Insurance > 4 Vehicles per Policy

Does anyone know of an insurance provider that does not limit the number of vehicles per policy to four? I currently have two policies for my vehicles, and with those two policies, lose much of the financial benefit of having multiple vehicles on a policy. Thanks.

    TSX Under VC

Pulled the VC for a valve adjustment. 125k miles. I purchased the car 4 years ago with 10k on it. It primarily gets PP and PureOne filters, changed out at intervals that I would get yelled at for, so I'm not going to divulge.

    10MM Bi-Hexagon?

Hi - I'm doing the head gasket in my 4Runner. I've gotten to the point where I need to remove the head bolts. The manual says to use a 10mm "bi-hexagon" wrench to accomplish this. I did some research and found that this is also referred to as a triple square, and that Napa sells these tools...

    2005 Toyota 4Runner V6 - Under The Valve Covers...

Pulled the 1GR-FE (4.0 V6) out of my 4Runner to replace the head gaskets. Here's an under-the-valve-cover shot for you guys. It has about 90k on it, and been fed a steady diet of Mobil1 since new. Looks good, IMO. Not the best picture, I know.

    2005 Toyota 4Runner V6, M1 0w30, 2,300 on oil, 88k

I had suspected a leaking head gasket, so I sent in a sample. Unfortunately, it looks like I'm right. This is the first analysis I've done on this vehicle, and all the other numbers look "great", so at least that's a bit of good news. For what it's worth, leaky head gaskets aren't that...
