Bought A Cheap Accord, The Sequel: Acura TSX

Smacked a deer with mine this morning on the way to work. Dented the front right fender just behind the headlight. Could have been a lot worse.

Bought A Cheap Accord, The Sequel: Acura TSX

The TSX doesn't suffer from the dashboard cracking like the TL. The auto in the TSX is very reliable. One of the highest mileage 1st gen TSXs has over 620k miles and its original automatic transmission is still going strong.

Bought A Cheap Accord, The Sequel: Acura TSX

Great cars. I have an '06 6MT that I bought in April 2008 with 10k on it. It currently has 337k on it.

    2 stroke gearbox oil compatibility

Type F has been used in 2T bikes for a long time. 70+ hours over the past year on each bike. 15+ races. I pulled the clutch pack on one of them a few weeks ago and everything is still within spec after 100+ hours (factory parts). I've used Supertech and Providence (Rural King) Type F over...

    2 stroke gearbox oil compatibility

Gotcha. Yeah, the YZ250 is a great bike, but electric start sure does make things easier at times (off camber/hill situations). We have a few people in our series who run Shercos. One Sherco family built a YZ85 into a "Sherco" for their youngest son. It even has a headlight and electric start...

    2 stroke gearbox oil compatibility

On two stroke dirt bikes, the top end and crankcase is lubricated by the gas/oil mix while the clutch and transmission share a different oil. OP Is talking about the clutch/gearbox oil here.

    2 stroke gearbox oil compatibility

Being wet clutch safe, I'm sure it's a fine oil. Stock up! What bikes do you have? What kind of racing? I switched to ATF Type F in my son's two KX85s last year. He races hare scrambles and it seems to be working great. One of the things I was looking for in an oil was lower viscosity to help...

Best Rock Song of All Time

My favorite song of all time. I'm usually not a fan of covers, but Shinedown's is great.

Buy or Rent Trash Pump for Emptying Swimming Pool

Carefully consider whether draining the pool is the right move. As others have said, it could pop out of the ground. Most fiberglass pool manufacturers will void a warranty if they find out a homeowner drained the pool. At 10 years old, you may not have a warranty to worry about, but it speaks...

Thanks! Didn't see your post til I came back to post about the first tow. (y)

    New Truck - Chevrolet 2500HD w/ 6.6L L8T

I towed my old trailer with the new truck today. I only went about 10 miles and this trailer only weighs ~6k lbs. It wasn't a night and day difference - which is probably more a testament to how good the L8T/10 speed is and not a knock on the Duramax. The Duramax was certainly smoother on the...

    New Truck - Chevrolet 2500HD w/ 6.6L L8T

No, it has the full console. Our 2500 had the folding console with 6 seats. I like the idea of the full console, but we'll see!

    New Truck - Chevrolet 2500HD w/ 6.6L L8T

No, I think you misunderstand. I had a 2024 2500 that I bought new two years ago. It had the gas engine and I put 15k miles on it mainly towing a toy hauler camper. The truck was great, but with my new, bigger camper, I was wishing I had originally bought a dually. I started looking for a...

    New Truck - Chevrolet 2500HD w/ 6.6L L8T

My 10 year old suggested truck nuts a couple days ago. :ROFLMAO: Thanks, fingers crossed it proves reliable. I was worried it was a lemon, since it was back on the lot with only 6k miles. But I found out that the previous owner (an older gentleman) died and his widow must have sold it back to...

    New Truck - Chevrolet 2500HD w/ 6.6L L8T

I talked myself into a dually. Ended up with a Duramax this time. 2024 LT with 6k miles. The L8T was a great truck and I'd gladly have another. This truck was a good deal, and essentially new. Need to read up on how to be a diesel bro now, though.

    New Truck - Chevrolet 2500HD w/ 6.6L L8T

Yeah, the only worry I have is the valve body. Its lifetime MPG is under 10. But it's had a trailer behind it for well over 13k of its 15k miles. Probably close to 14k.

    New Truck - Chevrolet 2500HD w/ 6.6L L8T

Thanks! Good to hear your truck has been reliable as well. Looking forward to using this new trailer as it's a huge upgrade over our old one. New one is an ATC - no wood on it anywhere. Should be a lifetime trailer. Are you still doing a bunch of camping?
