Good to know. That's 4% then. My youngest child's Pontiac only takes 4 qts with an oil change, and leaving 10% of the oil in that isn't something I'd do for full length oil change.

I don't think my filters hold more than 1/4 quart. For a Z51 that's about 3 % of the 9.5 qt capacity.

Thanks. Leaving it in place made more sense, but I hadn't previously used a filter for more than one OCI.

Go extra guard and use factory recommendation for changing depending on normal or severe conditions.
