Does Ford put a 5 cyl. in an F150?

Just a quick question. Has Ford ever put a 5 cylinder engine in the F150 pickup? My niece's husband stopped by the other day on their way back home. They had just bought an Airstream down in Lake Worth, FL. I was asking him how the truck did and he told me that it did great, even though it was...

Nio stock. How high will it go?

One aspect of Elon Musk's business that is NOT reflected in Tesla stock price is the SpaceX company. You need to go elsewhere for that, but I forget the ticker symbol right now. I just read an interesting article that said so many people are off work, they are making money "day trading"...

Can I use IPA 70% to clean windshield?

I use several solvent on my windshield to stop wipers from chattering. I usually start with windex (water based/ammonia) to get the bugs/dirt off. I then move to lacquer thinner to get the grease/road grim/tar off. Then I go to Isoproplyl Alcohol to get anything left behind by the other two...

    Need a New Frig

Loved my Samsung, very quiet, no repairs in 8 years of ownership. Hate my Frigidaire Gallery, constant fan noise.

12 month Interval on oil ?

To quote my 2018 Mercedes 4 cyl Turbo Oil Life Monitor: Which type oil? 229.6. "Next oil change due in 365 days" To quote my 2012 Chevy Volt owners manual: Oil change required every 2 years or 24,000 miles. Unless the OLM tells you otherwise. To quote me: "I live in Florida, it's too stinkin'...

Carburetors - I think I've learned to like them

Quote Who here actually likes carburetors and has a carbureted vehicle? Yep, try 4 in a row. and for some real fun, try to balance them so every cylinder gets the same mixture! This one does cheat a little though, it has electronic ignition.

Changing coolant-water ratio of 50-50 premix?

Not only does pure antifreeze NOT provide the best low temperature protection, it can be harmful, as in corrosive at high concentrations. I think Dexcool is 55 -60% MAX (for corvette) before it causes trouble. That concentration is for boiling point of course.

    Fiberglass Garage Door

I assume the paint needs to be clear because these are the old fiberglass doors that let some diffuse light through, right? I'd find a good UV resistant (thinking boat/surfboard) clear resin.

Changing coolant-water ratio of 50-50 premix?

The drain and fill should work fine. If you want to know the exact concentration after you're done, you will need one of these refractometers for coolant: Ooops, file was to big...working on it.

Dead rechargeable batteries on cordless drill

I've fixed these before, by replacing individual "sub "C"" cells. I've tried all the internet tricks, like putting them in a freezer, all of it. Take my word for it, it's not worth it. I had a Craftsman 18V drill pack, actually 6 tools total, so I did buy new batteries for that. Cost about $79...

    In the year 2049...

That's the county code. Ohio does the same thing. In fact I think Washington County Ohio was 49 as well. In the upper right is the date of exp. 21.

Please help me choose a epoxy putty

I just used a two part epoxy putty to fix my swimming pool, but can't give you the exact brand. I can tell you this much. It was two part, blue and white, but when mixed ended up pure white. It was easy to work with and mix, very little odor. It molded well, and had good body. Once hardened it...

Clarification? - Air Filter test results "based on" a differnt filter?

Yes. And they probably use the same filter media on all filters in that line, so it would apply to any part number.

    Rivet punch

At least you know it was a rivet tool. There was a time when automotive brakes (and probably tractors too) used rivited on linings. The shoes themselves were not part of the deal. You bought the lining material and attached it to the brake (or clutch, or whatever) with rivets. My dad's tool box...

Teaching Number One Grandson How to Shoot

I must say that the training should not stop there. Sometimes it is important to repeat the lessons to make sure they are learned correctly. One and done does not work well in this case. Stay with him and stay at it. Watch that muzzle!
