    2001 Saab 9-5

The 9-5 with the 3.0 V6 does not have a turbo as far as I recall, its a NA. The above oils mentioned will be just fine none the less.

You thought engine oil was expensive where u live?

That is expensive oil. You blame socialism for higher oil and that could be the cause, but they are also ranked 11th in the world for Health Care compared to 37th in the US. No country can have everything, we all have our plus' and minus'. Money has to come from some where.

    2007 XC90 v8

Great info, I am still deciding on what I am going to put in. Although i run Redline in my other vehicle, I am tentative to run anything but oem fluid. I know this is silly thinking, I guess my concern is having to replace a $4000 transmission.

    2007 XC90 v8

Thanks for the quick replies. It is not under warranty anymore. I am just changing all the fluids so I have a fresh start as I do not know when they were last changed. Between the redline and the amsoil any difference? I use redline oils in my saab (engine/gearbox) and have had great results...

    2007 XC90 v8

Hi, Anyone have any experience with the xc90 6-speed and using amsoil atf, Redline D4 ATF. Or do most people just stick with the Mobil 3309. All are JWS3309 certified, just tentative to use something that is not stock as they are expensive transmissions. Thanks

    2001 Saab 9-3 Valve pic

Here is my 2001 Saab 9-3 SE with 160,000km's on her. This is a sludge prone engine. The car has seen mostly Motul,Elf, Esso XD3 and for the last 2 years Redline since 60,000km mark. I am happy to see there are no signs of sludge even in the cracks and hard to reach places. The car is a Stage 3...

    royal vs red

Dont know for sure, but being that Redline has huge amounts of Zinc and Moly compared to RP. I will say that redline is better.

    Elf/Total Motor Oils

I ran it in my Saab, did well, there is a UOA if you search for it (it did very well). Its the same price as Redline up here, so I am sticking with redline or motul at the moment.

Do we still need a seperate Import Oils Forum?

I tend to like the Euro section better (partly because I drive a Euro car and use Euro oil). But I also find that people in this forum are using "higher" end oils and not just looking for any old bargain oil compared to the PCMO section.

Good to hear, I ran this oil in my Saab last winter, UOA looked great :)

Who has used Redline oil during the Winter?

I have run Redline 0w40 in my Saab during last winter, temps seen were +10c to -30c. Check the UOA section for it. The results I had were excellent.

    Redline 10w-40

I believe Silicon is used as an anti-foam agent in Redline. Someone will correct me though if I am mistaken.
