    Extended OCIs impact on Wear

    IMO the longer the oci the more important filtration is. A higher efficiency filter will catch more of the smaller particles. That said I don’t do extended oci’s and still use high efficiency filters.

    It’s safe to say stay away from any oil by that blender(Omni). Triax is just a marketing guy using said blender, who is willing to put any label on the bottle. Who knows what’s actually in the bottle…..

    If you read through the lawsuit they claimed one of their hydraulic fluids was for a certain John Deere system. Many who used that fluid incurred damage. Also many of their motor oils claim multiple approvals/recommendations that are not possible together. Or even viscosities that don’t match...

    I’m sure Lake already has the Corolla wear numbers for 20 grade vs 30 grade in his database. If you value his ranking oils based on adding up wear numbers just ask for the data. Skip paying for UOA’s over the long term. Or just trust actual wear studies that never show lower viscosity...

    People who trade in vehicles after 0-2 years for silly reasons. Are people really this bad with finances?

    Hopefully these people keep buying new every few years. I love buying vehicles that are a couple years old with under 30k miles. It’s like buying new at a huge discount!!
