Ok everyone, I did my first oil analysis with my b58 using Motul 5w40 Xcess Gen 2. Oil change was done after 1,000 miles. Please note my car is around 730whp and I have additional fueling (port injection). @edyvw , thoughts on KV100 at 13.73cst ? Is Fuel shearing the oil?

I’m not sure how much fuel dilution I have but it’s probably a good amount. I’m going to do an oil analysis on the current Xcess 5w40 gen 2 oil I have in my car right now and compare it with 300v.

I need to do an oil analysis to see if I do have fuel dilution. What about NOACK?

You’ll cook the motor. Only use LL01 or LL01FE. Since you’re in Arizona I would go with a xx40 oil in the summer and xx30 oil in the winter. If you’re going to use 0w20, just make sure it’s BMW LL approved.

Because I’m a freak and love to keep fresh oil in the car. Also, it gets driven hard, it’s not a stock car. With running full E85 it tends to thin out the oil over time.

I’m running Liqui Moly 5w40 Leichtlauf LL01. My car is full bolt ons, catless downpipe, upgraded turbo, and added port injection with an upgraded lpfp on full E85 fuel. I’m still looking to find the best oil for my setup. I run very short OCI’s, around 1500 miles.

Lol. A “tune” in the racing world is a recalibration of the ECU. I don’t understand what you meant by that. For my car to go from 382 whp to 510 whp with a flash tune and some ethanol what is it then if it’s not a tune?

What brand should I get? Also, what do you think about Motul 300v ? Or AMSOIL? Even tho I’m tuned, I’m still on stock turbo and stock engine.
