    Honda Civic 1.8 R18A2 310k mi; Mobil 1 FS 0W40 12.5k mil - used oil analysis

Since I can't be there at the service, I'll ask my dealer if he can take a picture. It will also be interesting whether the valves have to be adjusted. Another dealer told me at the time that you don't have to adjust any more valves after 300k, because nothing can be adjusted anyway. I find this...

    Honda Civic 1.8 R18A2 310k mi; Mobil 1 FS 0W40 12.5k mil - used oil analysis

I think this is one of the biggest private long-term tests with always the same oil at 500k kilometres. Next week we will submit the compression measurement of the engine. From mileage 20k only Mobil 1 New Life / FS 0W40 was used, also when refilling oil!

Here is a table where you can see where the element concentration is calculated per 1000 kilometers.

    Honda Civic 1.8 R18A2 310k mi; Mobil 1 FS 0W40 12.5k mil - used oil analysis

Hello there, here is my next oil analysis from our Honda Civic FK2 1.8 from 2008.Once again, as I find, an outstanding analysis, the element of iron has only increased by 4ppm, aluminium by only 1ppm to 10k kilometers. Copper remains 1ppm, I think that is very good, or what do you think? The...

    Honda CB 750 Hornet; Pro Honda 10W30; 752km ( total 1741 )

I think I will try Liqui Moly Race 10W40. It is not to expensive and the 5W40 is the engine oil for the Moto 2 Series, that will be good enough. What do you think?

    Mobil 1 Full Synthetic 0W40 10k Km (6.2k mi); 489k Km (303.7k mi) Honda Civic 1.8 R18A2

i have never a problem with fuel dilution. The engine r18a is a very good one, you can use 0W30 and other viscosities, too. I used exactly this engine oil since 20000 kilometers on the odometer.

    Rowe Hightec Multi Synt 5W30; Honda Civic Type R FK8 ( K20C1 ) ;5111 Km / 3176 mi; total mileage 76589 km / 47590 mi

We have always had between 3-5% at an interval of 9-10k kilometres. We must try to avoid the shorter distances consistently. With the element concentrations, it should be noted that this oil starts in a fresh state with 3 ppm of aluminum and 1 ppm of iron.

    Rowe Hightec Multi Synt 5W30; Honda Civic Type R FK8 ( K20C1 ) ;5111 Km / 3176 mi; total mileage 76589 km / 47590 mi

Here is the analysis of our everyday car, the Honda Civic Type R FK8. This is the first "real" oil filling with the Rowe Multi Synt 5W30. Since we always have to deal with high fuel in the oil in this engine, we have drawn an analysis so early this time. Almost 4% is not exactly little, even if...

    Mobil 1 Full Synthetic 0W40 10k Km (6.2k mi); 489k Km (303.7k mi) Honda Civic 1.8 R18A2

i have left the previous oil intervals all up to m20k kilometers in it. It fits the engine, I´m curious what the new compression measurements of the engine say after 500k kilometers. The engine hardly demands the oil, an absolutely stable construction from Honda.

The Engine needs 1-1.5 Litre for 20000 kilometres. This Engine is absolutely amazing.

303850 miles in a Honda Civic 1.8 fk2 from 2008. I had the oil changes carried out every 20000 kilometres as specified by Honda. The entire runtime was used via mobil 1 0W40, also when refilling.

My personal long-term test of my high-mileage Honda Civic 1.8 R18A2.

Hello everyone, here is the maintenance history of my 2008 Honda Civic 1.8. All maintenance was performed on time and exclusively at a Honda dealership. Repairs were done partly by myself and partly at the dealership. Attached is a list of all the costs I've incurred over the past 17 years. I...

    Honda Civic 1.8 R18A2 478.7k kms; Mobil 1 FS 0W-40 API SP, 19.2k kms

Now, my stand is 487000 kilometres. I think I will try a 0W20 for the Rest kilometres until 500000. Then I can take an another oil analysis. I think it will be interesting.

Welches Motoröl für meinen cb750 Hornet 2025

I did an oil change myself before the winter break and decided to stay with the Pro Honda 10W30 for the time being. Next inspection would be in July 2026. It was striking how much the oil drain plug was tightened during the 1000 kilometre maintenance. I don't understand why you don't use a...

Welches Motoröl für meinen cb750 Hornet 2025

So, regarding Honda's viscosity, I can only say the following. It's true that Honda specifies 0W20 for cars and 10W30 for motorcycles in the manual. This is certainly due to the fact that the engines consume less fuel and generate more power, but that doesn't necessarily mean that the engines...

    Honda CB 750 Hornet; Pro Honda 10W30; 752km ( total 1741 )

I'm still thinking about whether to use it again or rely on an oil with better base oil and evaporation loss. The Honda 10W30 is at the lower sae 30 limit, possibly a sae 30 oil in the upper 30 range would be better suited.

The clutch runs in the oil bath of the engine. I have to keep an eye on the fuel entry.
