I do this in FWD cars as well for winter. Ive always felt it gave the cars a little more stable feeling.

01' 7.3 with 161k miles Out: Delvac ESP 5w40 + Baldwin filter @ 5,200 miles In: Delo 5w40 and Purolator Boss. Swapped pre-pump Baldwin 1212 and factory Ford fuel filters out, same for same.

I remember this. Anyone have a link? I thought it was marketed as 100% PAO and was essentially all group III. One big lie. If they would lie on that scale, why would I trust any of their other marketing?

Picked up my three today from my 3/30 order. They cancelled my 2nd order of 3 and there were 3 on the shelf, but price is back up. Lame.

OP should just drill a 1/2" hole in the DPF to check.

Only got 3, and the rest have been cancelled. Oh well.

I don't even have a DPF on either of my diesels, but am interested in keeping expensive injectors cleaned. Granted I'm running Optilube every fill-up, I probably don't have anything to worry about but a quick cleanup cant hurt.
