    Suppressor Help

I recently purchased my first can for a 10/22 squirrel build. It is a Griffen Checkmate HD. It is very quiet with subsonic loads, especially cartridges with a charge that is not strong enough to reciprocate the bolt. By far, the bullet striking the target is the loudest part of the shot.

    Just filed a glass claim

I understood your post and was not replying to it. I was simply sharing a contrasting experience I had with FYG compared to other posters in the thread - the same as you in posts #21 and #22. I enjoyed reading your posts and gaining some insight into the industry. And just as I was wary of...

    Just filed a glass claim

My original factory glass in my ‘21 Tundra was from Vitro, and the replacement from Fuyao and I have experienced no ill effects or lesser quality. I found a highly rated mobile installer who was far and away better priced than my other quotes that also included Safelite - who wouldn’t even...

    Adventure Bike owners feedback

Pretty sure you won't "destroy them in short order" compared to the F700GS you are recommending. The 800DE and T700 both have 21" front spoked wheels compared the BMW's 19" cast wheel. They both have ground clearance figures in excess of the F700GS too. There's several posts here...

    Adventure Bike owners feedback

I'm not sure how the Vstrom and Tenere 700 (450lbs) are being written off as street bikes, but the 1100cc Africa Twin (550lbs) is prime for offroad?? As with everything, it's a compromise. Any bike that has grace on the highway, will be a handful offroad. Just be honest with yourself on the...

    T6 5w40 vs Pennzoil Platinum Euro 5w40

If the argument that Rotella T6 is only suitable for low rpm diesels and thus won’t foam in that application, why does Shell market Rotella towards motorcycles?

What to run in a Yamaha Zuma 125 Scoot

I like it very much. It has been one of my favorite vehicle purchases, silly I know. Everybody in the neighborhood runs around in golf carts, but you can't go outside the neighborhood streets on those, so felt that this would offer a little more functionality. It saves short-tripping the cars...

    Rotella 15w40 T4 & T6 in Motorcycles

Wouldn't you want the higher moly count in the T5 for your Yamaha 125cc scooter and 140cc push mower that lack the shared wet clutch found in motorcycles specced for JASO MA/MA2? That's with me assuming that your scooter does use a dry CVT of course, as most 150cc and under scooters do.

    An observation on my scooters

Since you don't have a need for oil designed for a wet clutch, what oil do you use in your scooters? I'm currently looking for a 10w-40 that is not motorcycle rated that will maximize protection, fuel-economy, and power. Many suggest Shell T6, but that is motorcycle rated for a wet-clutch. The...

What to run in a Yamaha Zuma 125 Scoot

I purchased a '23 Yamaha Zuma over a month ago and completed the 600 mile engine break-in. I'm now trying to land on an oil to use. I will run Pennzoil conventional 10w40 out to about 2k miles and then switch to full synthetic to satisfy that elusive engine break-in some refer to since it won't...

Unveiling the Superiority of Pennzoil Ultra Platinum Oil: A Detailed Analysis by Mr. Lake Speed Jr.

The PUP prices are always undulating to a crazy degree, and currently Amazon subscribe and save has the 3 pack of 5qt jugs in 5w30 priced at $64.21. I've moved on to Pennzoil Platinum Euro L 5w30 for the summer months, but I might grab a stash of the PUP at that price to run beginning this fall.

Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5w-30, 4451 miles in 2021 Toyota Tundra - used oil analysis

No complaints running the PUP in our Tundra and 4R, but I know it gets scrutinized here for being thin. PUP is also getting more difficult to source at a consistent price regularly. From my reading here on bitog, I sided with wanting a HTHS of at least 3.5, so decided on the Pennzoil Euro L...

Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5w-30, 4451 miles in 2021 Toyota Tundra - used oil analysis

10 miles one way. I'll edit post to make more clear. Now the wife's 4Runner has the daily errand schedule from hell.

Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5w-30, 4451 miles in 2021 Toyota Tundra - used oil analysis

Truck does not do any heavy towing. Work commute is a 10 mile drive on the tollway. I perform 5k/6mo OCI. I currently have Pennzoil Euro L 5w30 in the vehicle and will perform a used oil analysis when drained.

    Oil Recycling Containers

I use these from work. 5 gallon pails of foam concentrate. Very stout with a wide mouth opening. And after decades of struggling with drain pans, this one actually makes the experience enjoyable.

    Pennzoil Euro L 5W30 ?

Are you choosing that for the FJ due to the odo mileage? I only ask, because I purchased some 5w30 Euro L for a 4Runner w/ 75k and a Tundra w/17k. Currently they have Pennzoil Ultra Platium 5w30, but am concerned with it being too thin. Figured the Euro L would be good for a Summer months run...

    5w30 recommendation for old-school engines.

Ah yes, had a 2000 4Runner 2wd Limited and then tracked down a 2000 SR5 4wd with a 5-speed manual. Probably my favorite Toyotas along with the 80 series Land Cruisers. I miss the 3rd gen 4runners, but decided to grab the last of the Toyota V8 before they were gone. The highway cruising comfort...

    5w30 recommendation for old-school engines.

Being that both are fuel hogs, I'm definitely not looking to my oil choice to improve mileage. Oil is for protection first in my mind. Any reason why you would suggest the Toyota TRD filter over the normal Toyota oil filter?
