    What the heck is 0w12?

Saw this on Amazon. Is it just for European cars?

    Follow Up: M&P Shield X

A follow up to your recommendations, which I asked about last month: Any thoughts/experience with the M&P Shield X, in 9mm? My local FFL highly recommends it (and looks like the tax return will help out with getting one ;))

Wife considering Smith & Wesson SD40

We shot a Glock 19 (brother in-laws) a couple of years ago at the range. She seemed to feel ok with it, and even her mother shot a few rounds with it. May have to revisit that idea. Thanks again.

Wife considering Smith & Wesson SD40

Wow. A lot of rabbit trails here and experience. Thanks for more ideas. Pont of clarification: I'm a CCW and have & use two different calibers, 22lr and 9mm. I occasionally take her range shooting with me. She is small frame 5'-4", midlife age and small hands. Does not always like the 9mm...

Wife considering Smith & Wesson SD40

We'll head to some shops and check on the Ruger Security 380 and Kahr. She's not really too keen on a revolver. Thanks for the advice.

Wife considering Smith & Wesson SD40

Yes, it's for home defense. This is not for EDC. She does not like shotguns...so would prefer a pistol. Maybe .380 like you said.

We also have considered the RXM. Thanks for the recommendations.

    Just ordered a gun locker

I saw one of those (but skinnier) out on public lands last week, while hiking near a county road. No joke. Guessing it was stolen, and whatever was inside was gone....because the door was cut open at the hinges. And that digital keypad lock was popped off. Looks like more of a storage locker...

Wife considering Smith & Wesson SD40

Considering a S&W SD40 or SD9 for wifey. Anyone have experience with this one? She's not big on a lot of recoil. We see it's on sale at various places now for around $300.

Menard's: 15% bag sale, overlapping w/Purolator and Valvo. Advanced sale.

If I still had my Cherokee XJ with the 4.0 engine... I would grab some of that Shell Rotella T5 Synthetic Blend 10W-30 Diesel Motor Oil. That 10w30 always ran great in my old engine. Good stuff.

    High Mileage Jeep-Oil Drinker

Check the oil filter/cooler seal on top of your engine. It may be leaking small amounts of oil there. My son had that same issue with his Jeep 3.6 engine...it's a common minor leak problem that can be an easy fix with a modified seal part available for purchase.
