1992 Isuzu 3.2 DOHC oil/hot issues. Oil recommendations?

It’s too narrow in the oil pan on the truck for an LS or coyote swap, but a Northstar v8 bolts right up! Just need to harden the Northstar head studs and gaskets

1992 Isuzu 3.2 DOHC oil/hot issues. Oil recommendations?

It has great oil pressure now. I’ll buy another motor and work it over before this one fails.

No, we’re not, this is literally what we’re discussing. "Why experts are suddenly freaking out about AI" (link removed - Mod)

1992 Isuzu 3.2 DOHC oil/hot issues. Oil recommendations?

Oil pump is on the front of the motor like where a harmonic balancer would be on a traditional old v8. The thicker oil resolves all the issues so far.

1992 Isuzu 3.2 DOHC oil/hot issues. Oil recommendations?

Obviously yes, it never burns oil unless high rpm highway driving. The newer 3.5 definitely have oil consumption issues, but the early 3.2 not so much.

The issue is the learning is exponential. In the glen beck interview, scientist says it went from 9year old ability to 20 years old in one year.

1992 Isuzu 3.2 DOHC oil/hot issues. Oil recommendations?

How is it ignorant when it was literally the only oil on the shelf in the weight I wanted?

1992 Isuzu 3.2 DOHC oil/hot issues. Oil recommendations?

I bought it because it was the only one on the shelf in the weight I wanted. But thanks for puffing up and pounding your chest trying to virtue signal. 👍

    Fear of A.I

Would you get tired of babysitting someone with an iq of 50? Would you work on stuff and never try to explain your train of thought to a three year old? This is where AI becomes scary. At some point it will be exponentially smarter than humans and it will stop trying to rationalize to us why...

1992 Isuzu 3.2 DOHC oil/hot issues. Oil recommendations?

Just checking in, still runs quite even on warm days. Hoping no more issues, fixing AC now, compressor froze up. I’ll have more money in this than I paid for it, sigh, but still cheaper/better than a new truck. $35k for a Chevy Colorado? ***? The world is insane now.

1992 Isuzu 3.2 DOHC oil/hot issues. Oil recommendations?

I read a search of this oil here and they say it’s better than the GTX as it would sheer too fast and thin out. I know one day is too soon but I like it so far.

1992 Isuzu 3.2 DOHC oil/hot issues. Oil recommendations?

Ok, flame on, I went with this. Valvoline VR1 racing/high zinc 20-50, I think it’s dino not syn but I liked that it had higher zinc. It fired right up and ran smooth w/ ~60 psi oil. I took it out on the freeway after warmup and ran it hard in top gear to build up heat, then would downshift into...

1992 Isuzu 3.2 DOHC oil/hot issues. Oil recommendations?

I used a 20-50 as it was the thickest recommended in the owner’s manual. I may try a 5-40 in the winter as we are at the tail end of cold in my state. I pull my boat and motorcycles with this, engine temp never gets on warm side but oil seemed to thin on hot days and the valve train would...
