After searching for many years I finally found a 2010 Toyota FJ Cruiser.

80,000 miles and still looks like brand new. Over maintained and one owner vehicle. I’m shocked with its condition. Drives like a brand new vehicle. Just had all new brakes, rotors and calipers installed and brand new tires. All fluids were also serviced. Just picked up some matte gray TRD...

With all the engine issues why do people continue to buy Hyundai’s and Kia’s

I wouldn’t go near one of those makes now. With that being said we had a 2008 Elantra that was passed down to the children and was still running when we got rid of it with almost 275,000 miles. What changed and why?

    2012 Fiat 500 Automatic reliability

Officially the most dependable car I have ever owned up to the current mileage of 190,000 miles. I think I got extremely lucky. Other than maintenance and wear items the only thing it’s needed was a thermostat.

Should I fix a small oil leak on my car with almost 200,000 miles?

My 2012 Fiat 500 has a small oil leak. Fix or just add oil every so often? Two hours labor plus a $20 gasket. Thoughts?

My one family owned 78 MG Midget

Purchased in 1978 for $1,600. Dad had it first then all four children drove it off and on over the next 40 years or so. Completely rust free which isn’t common for these cars and we live in WNY. Had one repaint and we changed the interior from black to tan. I still drive it in the summer. It has...

Just sold my 2021 Mini Cooper S 2 Door Hardtop to CarMax……

Bought it new in August of 2020. We always wanted one as we currently own a 2012 Fiat 500 with 200,000 trouble free miles. We just never fell in love with the Mini and decided to shop it around. We paid 28K and no tax because we traded a Jeep which we got 28K for. So we didn’t have to pay tax...

A local large dealership I’ve been using for close to 30 years has stopped their $15 oil and filter special

They charged $15 for regular and $25 for synthetic with filter and bottled oil For all makes and models. They are now charging $49 for regular oil and $75 for synthetic. I’m shocked they did it for that long 🤷‍♂️

My better half just ordered a 2022 Jeep Wrangler and they told her it could take 6 months to arrive

I was a little shocked to hear a six month estimate. Salesman said since it’s a 2 door it could come in sooner. I checked every dealer in the area and all are at MSRP. It’s her money but I would never pay MSRP for any car 🤷‍♂️. She has never driven anything but Wranglers.

This may shock a few people but my Fiat 500 has been my most reliable DD….

My 2012 Fiat 500 that we bought off a neighbor with only 600 miles on it for 10K back in 2012 has been absolutely a joy to drive and own. We are closing in on 200,000 miles. We originally were going to resell it but we ended up keeping it. The engine and automatic transmission has been flawless...

2012 Fiat 500 Automatic (Insert Fix it Again Tony joke here). First off car has been absolutely flawless in the reliability department. Coming up on 160,000 miles. “I need a new car because” blah blah blah thread

I have so many friends that always tell me they need a new car because it will be needing brakes and tires soon etc. Most can’t even afford the car they have. So instead of spending a grand or so they just go out and trade the car in or lease another car. I tell them with proper main you should...

    Timing belt replacement......

So my 2012 Fiat 500 is due for a timing belt. Manual says 152,000 and I’m at 153,000 so I’m currently getting some estimates. The mechanic I usually use is quoting me $750 total including water pump replacement. They have always serviced my car and the shop has an outstanding reputation and I...
