    Ive been running Rotella T6 in my e36 1997 m3 for a number of years but now have a newer 06 330i that i run Castrol 0W40 in for the LL01 certification.     More oil consumption with Castrol 0w40 over 0w30?

    2006 bmw 330i with the NA N52 straight 6. I have previously been using longlife-01 Castrol 0w30 and switched to longlife-01 Castrol 0w40 since its cheaper, available locally, and so i can just buy one type of oil for it and the old m3.     Oil for a '00 Honda Prelude H22a4

    i am asking this for a friend... The car has 137k on it and burns about 1 quart every 1000 miles and has run dino oil its whole life. Its currently driven ~100 highway miles a day. This particular engine design has known oil consumption issues, which from reading seem to be from the material...
