My 1995 Ford owners manual recommends 10,000 k oil change intervals, and thats with dino, so you should have no worries at all.

Is that zero when idling hot?. It should show a bit a pressure cold at start up. If you are worried you could get it tested with a proper gauge, but that is fairly normal. What viscosity oil are you using?
