Is it possible to blend Chevron Supreme GF-5 with mobil 1 - say 50-50 and get a satisfactory DEXOS blend? Why? cause I have a case of Chevron I'd like to use up. Chevron isn't on the DEXOS licensed brands yet. Thanks.

Just got back from the local auto parts store. The only oil I could fine in the store that actually had dexos on the label was Mobil 1 at $9 quart. I've seen the sheet of dexos approved oils, but they don't have dexos on the label. Not even the syn-blends. I'm not comfortable with putting oil...

change the oil every 3000 miles in my Pontiac G6 Ecotec 4cyl engine. I'm using full synthetic oil 5W30, the computer says it has about 70% life left in it. I've seen 'experts' on other boards insist the GM oil computer is accurate. I drive freeway mostly, little short trips. What do I do? Hate...
