What are you doing right now?

Likely a different species and extra green due to the fertilizer. I think it will look better in 2 weeks and after a mow. Hasn't been mowed in 6+ weeks either. I didn't want to lift up any seedlings or the straw protecting them.

What are you doing right now?

This is more what I have been doing, for the past 6 weeks +, than what I am doing right now. Had some work in the yard last year which required digging up the lawn. Planting grass was much harder than I thought! 1st batch of seeds took hold and maybe covered 40%. I used Scotts with...

Has technology failed you today? List the ways and how often it happens to you.

I've watched a few videos of techs fixing cell phone circuit boards; identifying and replacing tiny failed capacitors/components using thermal imaging, looking up or reverse engineering schematics, just old fashioned diagnostics. Sending the board out for repair might be a good option.

Nursing school owner pleads guilty to selling nearly 3,000 fraudulent nursing diplomas

OK so we are having an AI battle here. It can go on and on. IDK about you, but if I had a choice between: Nurse Practitioner (NP): Approximately 500-1,500 clinical hours total. Typically requires a Bachelor of Science in Nursing plus 2-3 years bedside experience, then an MSN-NP program...

Nursing school owner pleads guilty to selling nearly 3,000 fraudulent nursing diplomas

They don't though. It's an nursing admin degree that adds little to nursing experience. Is it more clinical or administrative: The DNP is officially defined by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) as a practice doctorate emphasizing organizational leadership, healthcare...

Nursing school owner pleads guilty to selling nearly 3,000 fraudulent nursing diplomas

Here's some juicy stats for you @6.7 CTD. I look forward to yours. Performance gap on standardized assessments: When NPs have taken physician board examinations like Step 1 or Step 2 of USMLE on a voluntary basis, the documented pass rates have been dramatically lower than medical students...

Nursing school owner pleads guilty to selling nearly 3,000 fraudulent nursing diplomas

A DNP is an administrative degree, not medical. "The DNP (Doctor of Nursing Practice) was originally developed as a practice-focused doctorate emphasizing clinical leadership, healthcare administration, policy, and systems-level work rather than original scientific research. Many DNP programs...

Nursing school owner pleads guilty to selling nearly 3,000 fraudulent nursing diplomas

Having years of experience should be the mandate. The fast tracking/online schooling is what I have an issue with. Also if a nurse spend 5 years in the OB department and became a dermatology NP, how does that make sense. Many hospitals use mid-levels as a force multiplier to see extra...

Nursing school owner pleads guilty to selling nearly 3,000 fraudulent nursing diplomas

I think 2 reasons: 1. avoid 4 years of schooling. 2. Fast track to starting your own "practice". Also they don't care about nursing actually just the job. Indeed, there is a lot of administrative bloat vacuuming up what could pay for 2 or 3 nurses or additional doctors. There is a...

The vibe I get is Drs are more afraid of the boards, than vice versa, that answer is beyond my understanding though.

Nursing school owner pleads guilty to selling nearly 3,000 fraudulent nursing diplomas

The MD/DO vs NP/PA malpractice debate is that when doctors are sued, they have seen nearly 10 times the patients an NP or PA has and more complex cases, whereas NPs and PAs see much less easier cases, and have worse outcomes in the cases they handle. MD/DO malpractice is rarer than that of NPs...

Nursing school owner pleads guilty to selling nearly 3,000 fraudulent nursing diplomas

In my formative years I dated a few NPs, PAs, and Doctors. Go to high end speed dating events and you get a nice mix of professionals lol. Anyway, one NP I went on a trip to Vegas, when they had the Titanic experience, REALLY BELIEVED that the chunk of ice in the presentation was actually part...

Nursing school owner pleads guilty to selling nearly 3,000 fraudulent nursing diplomas

Physicians complete approximately 15,000-16,000 hours of clinical training including medical school and residency. Nurse practitioners complete approximately 500-1,500 clinical hours depending on program. PAs complete approximately 2,000 clinical hours. This means physicians receive roughly...

Nursing school owner pleads guilty to selling nearly 3,000 fraudulent nursing diplomas

Not only that but the hospitals or clinics that hired these nurses are likely open to lawsuits now as it would be logical to investigate every patient that encountered these fake nurses. Additionally, a lot of people are going into nursing school not to become nurses but to become nurse...
