Prorun Lawn Tractors and outdoor power equipment

A Prorun Lawn Tractor showed up at a Home Depot in Canada. Price is in Canadian Dollars. Headquarters is in North Carolina and they are manufactured in China as I understand. Any experience with them? The also have a full line of gas and electric OPE. China bangers unite!

External Transmission Cooler in series with the radiator cooler?

My 3/4 ton Suburban has a factory aux cooler. The radiator also has a simple straight run internal cooler built in at the base of the radiator. The transmission fluid goes through the rad first, then the aux cooler, then back to the transmission.

The traded price of heating oil is also pretty high. This could get up there if things don’t get resolved. 🫢

    Brutal heat and humidity lately

I enjoy reading about Phoenix and love the winters there. The temps are currently above 110 F but it was 2023 when the record for continuous days above 110 F was set. It was 31 days.

    Mower height for grass/clover lawns.

Yes, the guy said “ I don’t care” about his POS yard with his UFO landing pad. Plus it’s a seasonal home and he lets his lawn go yellow rather than irrigate it. Since I have a view of it from my deck I did the neighbourly thing and offered to fix it for him. Now I have a great view of the lush...

2013 Acura RDX P0303 code fixed now P0174

Check that corrugated intake hose between the flow sensor and intake manifold. It’s notorious for cracking and allowing too much non-metered air into the system.

How cold are your dash vents blowing and at what ambient temp.

I forgot to mention that the “ Hillbilly” technique can work as long as you still have some positive pressure in the system. For instance, when I see the vent temperature drop to 80 F when the ambient pressure is 90 F. I hook up the high side gage and it might say 50 psi static. At that point I...

    Power is out

Coincidently, we had an outage last night. The main effects were the AC went out, the ceiling fan turned off, and most importantly the coffee maker didn’t come on automatically. Trivia: The Kootenay River flows down our valley and joins the Columbia River. Two large dams, the Mica Dam and the...

How cold are your dash vents blowing and at what ambient temp.

I decided to add one more 6 oz can of R12A. The low pressure side went up from 30 to 40 psi, the high side went up from 125 psi to 150 psi and the vent temp dropped from 60 deg F to 46 F at 65 mph in the 90 F heat. Thanks everyone for your input. :D

Thanks for asking. About 30 psi with the AC running.

Do you or have you owned a rusty vehicle?

To be honest, I have a 2008 3/4 ton Suburban that I did a You Tube type bondo repair job on, including a section using an aluminum screen. It looks pretty good and is holding up. It can be a lot of work but is better if you use electric sanders rather than hand sanding. I used 3M fiber wheels on...

How cold are your dash vents blowing and at what ambient temp.

Its actually R12A which is a substitute for 134A and is available in Canada and the EU. Its a combination of propane and butane. It's been discussed before but I want folks to post their vent temps.

How cold are your dash vents blowing and at what ambient temp.

It’s the middle of summer. I just added a 6 oz can of R12A. This posting is for folks who add AC during the season to deal with less than a perfectly sealed system. My system was blowing at 80 F in the 90 F ambient temps. The static pressure was down to 60 psi. Adding 6 oz got the vent temp...
