Looks great. My 24 Tundra SR5 I’ve been doing 5K intervals with M1 EP 0W20 for the last 30K miles. Currently running 5 qrts of EP 5W30 and 2.5 qrts of EP 0W20. I’ve got about 4 oil changes with that combo. After that I’ll got to 5W30. No oil analysis, filters looks metal free when cutting them open.

That’s a bummer, lol.

Next oil change I’ll use 5W30 in my wife’s 19 Pilot with 95K. It’s had AMSOIL Signature Series 0W20 and for the last 3 oil changes AMSOIL Signature Series 0W30. OLM changes till 15%, 5500-7500 miles. VCM is disabled. Giving that AMSOIL Signature Series is now 14.00 a qrt with preferred pricing...

I was thinking about the 4 cycle engine. I can’t kill my stihl combo 2 cycle. Going on 12 years now. The last 8 years I ran Amsoil Saber at 80-100:1.

I may give it a go. Would be a good test to see if deposits were left on the pistons with SS.

I’m looking for my next oil at least for the Pilot. It’s had Amsoil its whole life, following the OLM…5500 to 7500 miles. At 14.00 a qrt with preferred pricing it’s a bit much. I’ve thought about restore and protect 5W30 following the OLM. It currently has 94K. Doesn’t burn any oil.

2024 Toyota Tundra 30K Out dealer bulk 0W20 In Mobil One EP 5W30 5 qrts and 2.5 qrts EP 0W20. Both are the 25K version. I was surprised how quickly oil pressure builded up vs just the 0W20. Seems quiter too. I’m running this combo till all the 0W20 is used.

Although I don’t have my 2015 Tacoma with 137K anymore due to hail damage. I sure hope using Amsoil XL kept the ring packs just as clean as the timing chain. Didn’t burn a drop, oci was 5500-6500 miles.

I ran their XL line and extended line for 5500-6500 miles on my beloved 2015 Tacoma 4.0L with 137K. Can get any cleaner than this.

I’ve been using AMSOIL Signature Series 0w20 till about 80K, AMSOIL Signature Series 0w30 for the last 15K in my wife 19 Pilot. VCM is disabled. She runs what fuel she can get her hands on. Every oil change I run Redline SL1 fuel system cleaner. Filter media looks fine with no carbon buildup.

Back when I had a 2015 Tacoma 4.0L. It had 137K. I ran Amsoil XL and extended life oil, middle tier. 5500-7500 oci. Can’t get any cleaner than this.

Take it a step further with HPL. I’ve been a Amsoil user since 2004 90% of the time. Furthest I’ve gone was 10K. I don’t try to push the envelope. My wife’s Pilot follows the OLM, 5500-7500 miles and see AMSOIL Signature Series 0w20 till 80K. Now uses 0W30.

I worked with a guy who believed any synthetic could go 15K or more. He ran the cheapest synthetic he could get. He used to be an auto mechanic in his early days. He thought I was nuts changing it at 5000-7500 miles, lol.

I’ve got enough 0W20 and 5W30 to make a franken brew. Both are Mobil 1 Extended Performance. It’ll be about 4 oil changes worth. 1 jug of 5W30 and 2.5 arts of 0W20. Till all the 0W20 is used up. This will be going in the Tundra…unless my original engine has other plans.

In Dave’s video he mentions the engine could double its horsepower.

After all this I’ll switch to 5W30 or even 0W30. Going back to my OG AMSOIL Signature Series. I have two oil changes worth of 0W20 EP. Hopefully by then my Tundra will either have its engine replaced or their data says it won’t. So far no metal is present in the oil filter.
