    3.6 Pentastar purge valve/misfire issues

Woah! Did you replace that camshaft? Or did he just let that one rip?

    3.6 Pentastar purge valve/misfire issues

Doing just the bank 1 intake cam and lifters/followers. The original pentastar seemed to have more randomized issues but the PUG version like this wears out the bank 1 intake cam a lot harder than the others.

In either case, oil probably isn't a fix.

    3.6 Pentastar purge valve/misfire issues

Is what it is, been a good Jeep otherwise, only other non routine maintenance (outside of the mods) has been a horn LOL. Not aware of any aftermarket alternatives, but I read a TSB yesterday that Chrysler has identified an issue with this particular cam shaft and that ones built after august...

    3.6 Pentastar purge valve/misfire issues

Not at idle - there is a rattle noise at low RPM I can hear with the windows down/music off so Im suspecting that's probably a failed rocker. Found a few other videos of the same noise and that's what it was.

    3.6 Pentastar purge valve/misfire issues

Update: Moved it around a couple times this weekend, no issues, sounds and drives normal. Drove it to my usual shop yesterday (30 miles) and drove completely normal. Hot ambient temps and long drives seem to start the issue.

    3.6 Pentastar purge valve/misfire issues

Interesting issue on my 18 JLU with the PUG 3.6. Took it on a long road trip from WI to UT. Made it through the mountains in CO, to Moab for wheeling, then out to sand hollow to play in the dunes. No issues. The issues started after going to the hotel in St. George, UT. Went to the hotel...

    JLU Wrangler tire options

I think I probably have 15-20k on the ones on the LR3, they are still great. They look nearly new - usually 20-30k on it is enough to wear tires out considering the weight of it (just under 6k pounds). One of my fav ATs for sure. I'd agree with everything Astro has said about them. Those and the...

It does, having 2 overdrive gears with the granny low first is awesome. Nice. 3.6?

    JLU Wrangler tire options

Since my 35s are only 52 pounds, I still see 8th gear on the highway and can chirp the tires from a stop. Get about 17-19MPG average. A regear would be nice but still drives fine. I have the Nokians on my LR3 and love them.

    JLU Wrangler tire options

I love Toyos/Nittos. Get the lightest one you can in your size. My 35" Nitto Recons weigh about the same the stock 33" BFGs on a Rubicon. Heavy tires kill drivability. No need for LT tires on a Wrangler. Never had an issue on rocks or off road with punctures either.
