Just changed oil, air filter, and mower blades on my John Deere Z915e which has the 25 horsepower Kohler engine. Mowed afterwards. Used 15w-40 vs 10w-30 as per recommend on here. So far so good.
To me, from a consumer's perspective (not an attorney), there is a difference in expectation moving from "made from" to "made with."
I get it as it takes away from Ultra's differentiation. Performance downgrade? Doubtful. Maybe a good question for the next Pennzoil Q&A?
The new one quart jugs of 0W-40 SRT (left) say "made with natural gas" and old (right) says "made from natural gas."
New quart date is January 05, 2026.
Old quart is 2023.
Assuming there would be no way to tell even with a VOA or UOA? Website states GTL but bottles don't? You would think from a marketing perspective it would benefit them to state GTL as it does differentiate their product? Doesn't take much space to do so? Interesting.
In my area I use top tier gas, specifically Exxon Synergy Supreme+ premium gasoline 93.
