Didn't we just have paper published by GM on here say that by far the most important wear factor is cold starts and oil type and grade were of little importance. Walmart oil and filter will work well for %99 percent of the cars on the road.

Do I think the GDI engine in my 2016 Hyundai is a good engine? Absolutely not. Do I change the oil more than any other car I have owned? Nope. You can't fix a poorly made machine with slightly cleaner lubrication.

I think it's more about the design of the structure where the wheels retract up into. Put the equipment in the cheapest/easiest positions and make the gear conform to what room is left.

I run my air filters about twice as long as the owner's manual specifies. Air filters do a better job as they collect dirt. This way my engine is in better shape and I've saved time and money. Drives the same before and after the filter is changed.
