2007 Scion tC high oil consumption ~1qt/500mi

I know that no usage would be best, but that's not bad, and I definitely would consider that an improvement. Toyota thought 1qt per 1000 miles was ok, to me it's not And here you're 75% less than that. And good idea that it's not being burned into nothing land to use VRP and continue the...

HVAC installer cut the roof truss for filter access - my repair

I'm really not surprised you found this hack job. I've watched the show, Holmes On Homes and all the tv show variations of his work and you see this all the time. Hacks cuttings into floor joists, Roof truss issues like yours, etc.. things that make you wonder if these so-called...

oh ya, cheap plastic gears.. been that way since the late 90s, my old civc did the same exact failure. Yet on mine it was always actuating on its own to the UNLOCK position.. rather have it locked! but yep, time to dig that actuator out and replace it.

O'Reilly’s $10 billion bid to buy NAPA

It was quite something, went into my local warehouse NAPA location to get a spark plug last week (never got a bad one from them, can't say the same for the competition) and it was a ghost town! wow.. It's usually busy in there. That was very odd. Guess I'll enjoy getting good stuff while I...

New LG 75” tv much heavier than old 75”

6 feet 3 inches of screen.. wow that's a big one. But something that size, they may have put in a metal frame to prevent the screen from flexing. Definitely something that could happen with a span that large. I remember they were getting rid of metal frames around laptop screens because it...

Window AC styrofoam block always molds

would those tablets help out that are basically bleach tablets you drop into the condensate pan. Wondering if that would stop the styrofoam from absorbing all the water? Or you could see if you could spray the styrofoam with an anti-mold or anti-mildew solution to stop that..

    Cataract surgery - WOW!

I will add that there are different IOL (interocular lens) on the market just as there are many different tire brands and models. Should do your research before. Some eye surgeons have signed agreements with only one brand because that brand paid for most of the surgical equipment. Don't...

When I had to move the Harley, I rented a U-Haul, they have an awesome motorcycle trailer! And I've made the drive from Michigan down to Missouri before (without a bike), boring as heck, but can be done in about a day. it would be cheaper for the buyer to do that, even staying at a...

2013 Nissan Versa blower motor only blows on high

simple the part that controls the different voltages/speeds of the blower fan has died. @ClutchDisc as they said, it's the control module/resistor. The reason it works on only high is because without that resistor (resisting the voltage to slow the fan speed) you're at full 12volts.. full speed.
