I did ask Polaris directly via email before I even posted the question to the group,, I was merely curious as to group thoughts. Then contacted by phone. Hopefully they’ll pull their head out of where the sun doesn’t shine and get me a sample with a GC test rather than an estimation.

I did get on the phone this afternoon prior to seeing this email and spoke to a woman who said she’d send it back over for a measurement and send me an updated sample report Then I saw that email about 2 hours ago.

I did ship it to Indiana. Indianapolis. It was an amsoil prepaid ups shipping kit

I asked again specifically about the GC method. We shall see. All My previous diesels have fuel percentage on their via GC so unless something changed 🤷🏻‍♂️

I asked for more clarification if this is now a permanent thing or not. If it is I’ll be sending my samples elsewhere in the future.

🤷🏻‍♂️ This one took 4 days. Usually they are within a couple days. This one was a little longer. I’ve perceived no time difference to when they were doing GC tests compared to tests when they don’t.

These are amsoil filters.

They’re both quite warm running. I have no reason to think they’re restricted. I was just concerned with the filter media integrity in regards to time.

I sent them an email questioning why it hasn’t been tested, I’ll see what they say and then will request to test fuel not estimating.

Well aware of that. This engine has never used oil that I’ve noticed. Prior to weight loss the level would increase slowly over the OCI. Fuel was always between 5-8% previously

Good to know. I’ll reach out to them. the oil level on the dipstick has not increased at all over the OCI. Stayed exactly the same. So I have no reason to believe there is fuel in the oil, but I will reach out to Polaris and report back.

Down for a year and a half? That would be odd.

They do use GC. I’m guessing they are estimating less than 2% because maybe GC has a hard time measuring less than that, or there is no detectable fuel so they just put <2% as a default. Maybe @dnewton3 has some insight
