    New or Used Air Compressor?

Buying used poses a risk if they did not properly maintain it and drain it, if it rusted internally and explodes it will go off like a bomb destroying much near it. Buy new, maintain it and keep it for decades instead of buying a risk.

    Valvoline Restore and Protect

Update to my previous post About 350 miles in now and the rattle when cold around 2500rpm which went to about 95% gone after 200 miles is now completely gone. So VRP is definitely doing it's job. Too soon for any update on oil consumption.

Clarification on Who Makes the New Mobil 1 Filter

Mobil 1 filters are no longer manufactured in the USA by M+H, that agreement has ended, it is now Highline Warren who has the agreement.

Clarification on Who Makes the New Mobil 1 Filter

PG doesn't directly do manufacturing in Vietnam, China, etc they contract out to VAFI and AFI which is who Highline also contracts out to. They use the same factories, same/similar designs. PG does own a manufacturing facility in Mexico called Interfil that is the only facility PG directly...

Confusion in Purolator Boss filtration efficiency

WIX XP are 99% 23 Microns though which is a good buy if you look at the new design, they are very clean filters now. But its not acceptable for MANN + HUMMEL to do this, be confident in your products, make good products and share the efficiency/micron ratings or don't have a product at all.

Confusion in Purolator Boss filtration efficiency

I am emailing them, calls kind of put them on the spot of which they may not have had access to accurate information at the time especially when some of their products have been updated/redesigned such as WIX XP, or the representative was just lazy.

Toyota Sienna or older Dodge Caravans with the 3.3 or 3.8 would be good candidates for mini vans.

Why not look for a 4 cylinder S10 or Ranger or if gas mileage is not a huge concern go for the 4.3 in the S10. Then grab yourself a cheap bed toolbox.

    2002 PT Cruiser

Those who say it is non interference were at very low speeds and had absolute pure luck on their sides because they are interference and if that belt goes on the highway them valves are hitting. But overall they are reliable engines, early 2.0's in the 90s had some head gasket issues such as...

    2002 PT Cruiser

Timing belt is the big thing to look for on them, aside from that believe it or not they are fairly solid cars along with Neons, they just got a bad reputation for bad transmissions when in reality in many cases the transmissions were perfectly fine and it was the solenoid pack on top of the...

    Blackstone alternatives?

Speed is a good option, just make sure whichever company you choose you stick with so the data you gather is consistent, for example if you send a oil sample to Blackstone it is not going to show identical results to Speed.

The Current New Truck Market Is In Trouble

The 3.5 Ecoboost is notorious for cam phaser failures which costs thousands, seen it time and time again I would not consider that a great motor at all, but since when can Ford make an engine without cam phaser failures they should change their slogan to "Cam Phasers Not Built Tough"

    Valvoline Restore and Protect

Nope it is a preference on older vehicles, the only vehicle of mine that has a "leak" is my Chevy 4.3 with a seeping oil pan but it never drips so I don't care about pulling the engine to put a new oil pan gasket on it. It is more of a preventative, 20+ year old seal is going to be on the more...
