Definitive Pennzoil Ultra Platinum vs Mobil 1 ESP vs Amsoil vs Valvoline Restore and Protect

I am sold on Mobil ESP 0w30 for my Turbo EcoBoost, but I get oil changes at the Ford dealer and worry they would flag me warranty wise.

    Valvoline Restore and Protect drawbacks?

There is so much research out there showing 5w30 with lower viscosity protecting turbo engines very well. Changing the oil is more important. As long as your doing an OCI of 5,000 or less, any 5w30 will protect a turbo.

    Castrol vs Valvoline

I looked at the thread...I don't get it. What does it show that keeps Valvoline on the avoid list? What was the experience you are referencing? It isn't EP either, his thread is about Valvoline Restore and Protect.

    Mobil 1 ESP 5w-30 or Mobil 1 ESP 0w-30 | 3.5 EcoBoost

Hey, Gents! I recently went with Valvoline Advanced 5w30 for my last oil change with dealer under warranty. So, in 5,000 miles, I will be out of warranty and I will be doing oil changes myself at home. OCI will stay 5,000 miles, but I am wondering which of these oils will best for year round...

    Pick My Oil

3.5 EcoBoost. Only two choices: Valvoline Advanced 5w30 or Quaker State Ultimate Protection 5w30. Total oil change would have a $4 difference between the two, so the price is negligible. Which one and why?

    2001 Buick LeSabre - Valvoline Advanced 10W-30 - 8,372 mi

This was the plain Valvoline Advanced? I knew Valvoline Extended Protection had a lot of moly, but I didn't know the advanced did too. Wow. No reason to run the EP, then.

Valvoline Restore and Protect vs Pennzoil Ultra Platinum

I would disagree with you. It is "unique" in the fact that it cleans as well as those you specified (AMSOIL Signature Series and HPL) but does it far less costly and is available more conveniently on any Walmart or Auto Parts Store shelf. I'd say that is pretty unique
