The newbie to summer tires is back with a related question.

I've been to the local discount tire, good year, called another discount tire, tire rack and a local shop. No one had OEM specs for either winter or all season. Thus my pivot to 285 vs the oem 295 and those were due yesterday. I also did find some Hankook winters in oem size in Italy but they...

The newbie to summer tires is back with a related question.

So OP here back with continuing saga/update. If you recall I ordered a set of 23 inch snows from Italy two weeks ago. I'm going to return these but I still haven't got them as they apparently are hung up in customs in Indy. Also ordered another set of all seasons from Florida that were supposed...

The newbie to summer tires is back with a related question.

Is this a real concern if I take them to DT this week? Will they really know or bother to see that the OEM is 108 and these are 107? Will a visit from President Grant change their mind if it came down to that? I need new tires. Also do I have same concern that mounting 285 after taking off...

I'm becoming more of an expert every day 😀 and thanks everyone for the replies. I did pull the trigger on some cheaper all season 285's just to get me through the next two months then I plan to do a proper performance summer on the 23s and wil have time to find a good set of all seasons on 22 s...

The newbie to summer tires is back with a related question.

Thanks all for the replies...yes I am in Atlanta area. Like I mentioned i am rather new to the performance car/summer tire game. I panicked when I read a few things that said never run performance summer when temp is below 40 degrees and we have a few months where the morning lows are typically...

The newbie to summer tires is back with a related question.

Apologies in advance if I should have posted this in my existing thread but I wanted to make sure even those who already responded saw it as everyone provided good advice. Anyways my winter tires are stuck in FedEx Hell and I have not received an update since they supposedly left the Indy hub...

    Newbie to summer tires--Help Please.

Thanks, but I thought I read somewhere else that 22's were the smallest you could go to get over the huge brake caliper on the RS?

    Newbie to summer tires--Help Please.

Correct - plan to run the Hankook Icepts for Nov-March and summer for Apr-Oct. Seems that in 295/35/23 for summer tires I have seen the Continental Contacts, Pirelli Scorpion, Michelin Pilot and Hankook Ventus. Any recommendations/opinions?

The only ones I could find in stock and in Italy last week were the Hankook Icept Evo 2.

    Newbie to summer tires--Help Please.

Thanks both for the info/opinions. The only thing out of the ordinary I noticed was backing out of the driveway this morning we have about a 3/4 inch lip from driveway down to the street. It was about 30 degrees and sounded like I went though a lot hole when this back tire hit the street. Is it...

    Newbie to summer tires--Help Please.

So I just found this forum and my dream car, a pre-owned 2021 Audi RS Q8 with the optional 295/35/23 tires that are Continental Sport Contact6 summer tires. The car was in south Florida so no issues but sometime between leaving Florida a week ago and arriving in the Atlanta area yesterday, I...
