Station has TOP TIER on pumps but isn't.

I'm going to have to get back there and get pics of the pumps.

Station has TOP TIER on pumps but isn't.

Between these 2 dates is when it ceased to be a Shell station. That's a lot of years with the stickers on the pumps.

Station has TOP TIER on pumps but isn't.

Then that's worse then Top Tier stations without stickers. You can see in the pic. it's been US for at least 2 years.

Station has TOP TIER on pumps but isn't.

Yet this stations prices are the absolute lowest in the area, which is a perfect match for a Marathon station near me.

Station has TOP TIER on pumps but isn't.

This station is called US Fuel. Looked it up and can't find it listed on Top Tier. On Gas Buddy it's listed as a Shell station. It's not. Has Top Tier stickers on all the pumps.

    Not seeing E15.......Yet

I disagree. It's bypassing the polution standard where E15 would stop sales for summer. They're NOT putting E15 in all gas available. I haven't seen it, would have to be labeled as such. Here in PA, some Sheetz and Rutters have E85, and E15 available along with E10 87, 89, and 91or 93. Other...

E15 acts differently in my 2 cars.

What I think is going on is that Chevy and maybe more makers only "say" it only requires 87 octane. Would be a sales killer to say 93 required. The facts are with a turbo, knock sensor, etc. Yes, it runs on 87, but it's not optimal. You get more power and mpg on higher octane. This has been the...

    2022 Honda Monkey 40KM

1 qt of oil and no filter...Yeah, do it at 100 miles, then 500, then close to the normal interval.

E15 acts differently in my 2 cars.

OK. does it call for just 87 octane or more? It might be putting the 88 octane to good use and supercedes the less energy available.

What's the HAH? Sorry, acronyms aren't my strong suit. Too many of them.

Does a (PEA) Fuel System Cleaner exist you can use EVERY Gas fill?

Thanks for that. I just bought the high mileage. There are a few things I thought it did that it does not. Back to the complete.

Rental review, Chevy Trax and Hyundai Elantra HEV

The belt has been proven a non-problem now with mutiple people with well over 100k miles on their Trax. One poster bought a used engine with well over 100k miles, disassembled it, shot many picks of it, and the belts were fine. Ford has the problem with belts dumping rubber into the oil. The...

E15 acts differently in my 2 cars.

I have already. When 95F, With 95% humidity there is a small improvement in the Trax with 89 E10. With the crazy prices now, not throwing more $$ gas in. This is strictly about cheaper E15 88 vs. E10 87.

See, another calibrated butt dyno.👍 I can't see how anyone can't feel differences. I could pull half my coils on a car, my wife wouldn't notice.

Rental review, Chevy Trax and Hyundai Elantra HEV

Well, as a chevy fan (or sucker some may say) I'm biased. I've had a 24 Trax 1RS for 2 years now. I love it! The engine is tuned for torque so mashing the pedal to the floor for 3 downshifts is wrong. Have to ride the torque. The 1RS gets you a leather steering wheel and analog guages which I...

Your state taxes are the worst in the nation. PA is not far behind though.

Is E15 Gas safe in a 2001 Blazer?

This is in PA. Rutters and Sheetz has E85 and E15 at most locations.

My butt dyno is highly accurate. Didn't figure the mileage since it didn't run well, won't use it.

E15 acts differently in my 2 cars.

In my 2012 Chevy Cruze turbo PFI it loves E15. More power! In my 2024 Chevy Trax turbo GDI it hates E15. Less power. It is Not E85 approved. Is it the GDI? Anybody know why? I can get E15 WAY cheaper in PA!
