I agree with this. What I haven't done (and am probably afraid to do) is run the oil longer to see. I can say my OCI's have kept my wear extremely low at 3k miles; however, it could also be seen as getting ahead of the problem before it becomes a problem.

Question for the group - Oil Analyzers Inc reports don't have a specific "Antifreeze" line item; however, I am curious...is there a way to tell from the report whether there is antifreeze/coolant in the oil? Would it be a larger "Water %". I have another vehicle where I am trying to figure out...

For sure. I know much more about vehicles than I did in 2008 when I got that car. The Transmission is what caused the EoL for that thing (sold it to a junk yard). If only I knew what I know now, I could have been better about preventative care!

It was a 4-banger Nissan. While the Lexus is a 4 cylinder as well, it certainly feels like a huge engine upgrade!
