Got screwed over for a promotion and Im depressed

I've been in your shoes before. I worked a local government IT gig on a temp government contract. They had an opening for the same exact position full time with full benefits. Here's the thing though. I did not have a 4 year bachelors degree. I had an A+ and Network + though. I knew the inner...

    2004 Toyota Sienna overheating

Bushing has been replaced and so far the coolant level isn't moving. I'm thinking these are just a bear to bleed air out of. So maybe this wasn't a bad thermostat after all! Called the mechanic and said I wanted to drive for one more week to make sure the coolant level stays the same. Will keep...

    2004 Toyota Sienna overheating

The next step is definitely OEM thermostat. Right now we're more or less playing wait and see on the coolant level to make sure everything else is good.

    2004 Toyota Sienna overheating

Took the van out for a drive today and so far so good. Now goodtimes may be on to something here. The puke tank was at the correct mark when I left the house, came back and it was on the low mark. I've had this happen many times right after a coolant change so not TOO worried just yet. I called...

    2004 Toyota Sienna overheating

Yep radiator fan works. The mechanic said everything looked good with the thermostat out. They also stated there seemed to be some moisture under the thermostat so I'm thinking the thermostat didn't get a good seal. Anywho they said drive it without a thermostat for a week or two, bring it back...

    2004 Toyota Sienna overheating

Hey JLTD the times I drove it were around 2pm - 3pm during the week. It was around 75-85 degrees outside each time. Drove for around an hour each day and used the ac cooling. Total of 25 miles each day but it's all back country roads so no stop lights, signs, etc. This morning I was in regular...

    2004 Toyota Sienna overheating

I just spoke with the mechanic and they said they pulled the new thermostat and they still had the old one on hand. They gutted the old thermostat so it's just the assembly and no springs and such. He said he didn't see any leaks and wants me to drive the van with no thermostat for a week or two...

    2004 Toyota Sienna overheating

Hello bitogers! I have a 2004 Toyota Sienna with 192k miles that is overheating. It started about a week and a half ago. As soon as it overheated I was lucky enough for it to be right next to the shop so I took it straight there (heater on high the whole way and all that jazz) Kept a close eye...

Heat Pump / Air handler replacement

Quick question. Does your location currently allow for a natural gas hookup? If so I would recommend that many moons over heatpumps. Speaking from personal experience

    Bathtub spout fitting removal help?

Hey guys I have an old delta faucet from 88 that just messed the bed. The diverter gave out and well...This is not a diverter that can be just changed out. It's a whole spout replacement deal. Here's the issue my spout is a 3/4 inch spout and all I can find are 1/2 inch replacements. I tried...

    MMO Piston soak Prius

The can of BG109 came in the mail yesterday. I'll try and get to the oil change this weekend if time allows. I'm really hoping this helps at the very least!

    MMO Piston soak Prius

I ordered the BG 109 and it should be in next week. I'll try that next weekend. Im afraid this is most likely something mechanical but figured I'd try the easy stuff first. If we go the copper plug route after this should I change all the plugs to copper or just cylinder 3?

    MMO Piston soak Prius

The car was new to us as of March this year. The previous maintanence was all done at the dealer. Since we have had it it's been on mobil1 0w20 for a 10k mile change (dipstick was bone dry but that was the recommended interval I found online), the next 2 changes were bulk oil 0w20 from a...

    MMO Piston soak Prius

Hey Nicholas I'll try that at the tail end of this change. Right now we are just keeping an eye on the oil level and color.

    MMO Piston soak Prius

Hey Kool it's just cylinder 3. The plugs foul crazy quick on that cylinder. The plugs on the others have no issues. Should I do another piston soak with mmo at the tail end of this oil change even though mmo is already in the oil?
