I replaced the lower intake manifold with a ported & polished piece. I also replaced the throttle body with a ported unit. When I did the Lower Intake Manifold, I also removed the valve covers, and painted them. I did replace the valve cover gaskets as well.

ATF-4 is it all the same??

I have used Valvoline, and Castrol. Both of which are good choices. There are other brands (AAP for one) that makes an ATF+4, however none of them state that it is a Full Synthetic like Castrol, or Valvoline does. That is the reason I stick with one of them for my 300M.

Synthetic vs. Dino Diff Fluid Change - 04 Chrysler

Quote:
There is an issue with certain RTV's and gear oil. There is a thread here concerning many that have leaks caused by gear oil dissolving the RTV. What vehicle? What type of gasket material? If you have no leaks with the synth, then use it. If you are forced to reseal...

Synthetic vs. Dino Diff Fluid Change - 04 Chrysler

Group, I have read (and heard) that the diff's in our cars require Dino Diff Fluid due to the seals in the diff are not compatible with synthetic fluid. I ran synthetic diff fluid in the 99 forever with no issues. When I got the 04, I originally put synthetic (Mobil 1) 75W90 in it. I changed it...

    M1 HM 10W30 vs. M1 0W40

Group, Over the weekend, I did some work to my car that for safety's sake, required me to change the oil. I did have M1 high Mileage 10W30 in the car (all WalMart had at the last OC. This weekend, I was at a parts place, and didn't feel like going to Wally World, so I got 5 qts. of M1 0W40. I...

    Regular M1 10W30 vs. High Mileage M1 10W30

Quote:
You could use the HM 10w30 w/o worry, but a better choice would be M1 5w30. With only 29K, seafoam and an engine flush are not necessary, and perhaps do more harm than good.

The person that owned this car prior to me didn't take very good care of...

    Regular M1 10W30 vs. High Mileage M1 10W30

Group, I am going to do an oil change this weekend on my 2004 300M Special. I am going to do a seafoam treatment, then do a engine flush....I wanted to get M1 10W30, but the local WalMart only had the M1 High Mileage 10W30. I am assuming that the only difference is the additive pack. Is this...

    Thoughts on Royal Purple

After running an engine with extended high temperature exposure...I decided to dump the GC 0W30 in favor of Royal Purple 5W30. What are your thoughts on RP?? I have a sample of the GC 0W30 to send into Blackstone, but wanted to wait until payday to send it off. I am curious to see what 20-30...
