    Changing oil prematurely today

    Had a 2004 CRV. Both my wife and son had 2014 CRV. My other son has a 2017 CRV. All had there oil changed at 5000 miles. Never had a problem. Both of my sons still have there CRV (Great Cars) with no oil related issues.

    2013 CR-V Oil

    Have used a variety of oils in both my wives and sons 2014 CRV with the 2.4 that include Pennzoil, Quaker State, but mostly Kendall. All of them 0w-20. Both run fine with the 0w-20 in the cold winters as well as the hot summers. THEY do prefer the Honda filters.

    Did They Really Change My Oil?

    I think they did not change it. I always have the hardest time reading the dipstick after an oil & filter change due to the oil being so clean. That oil on the towel does not look very clean.

    Exxon / Mobil Gas

    Gulf stations are plenty full in the Boston area. Always have been. According to my father there used to be a Gulf refinery north of Boston in a city called Beverly. That was many many years ago, long before my time.

    Exxon / Mobil Gas

    Used to be a Mobil and or Exxon on just about every block in my neck of the woods. Now most are just Mobils. Texaco are long gone from this area.

    Used it on a 2015 nissan Xterra and a 2019 nissan Frontier both with the 4.0 with good results.
