Are propane fueled cars still a thing?

The first car I bought was a caravelle with propane conversion. Had a big cylinder mounted in the back and the filler cap had a propane stud where the filler tube used to be. It started life in the police department (maybe a ghost car? - It still had the headlight flashing system in it), but...

Where can you buy 10w-40 restore and protect oil?

It's not a question of it working or not, it's a missed opportunity by valvoline in not having it available to fullfill the demand...that's the faux pas.

    Run Flats

It had more to with the rim than the tubeless tire due to the inner nipples having holes on the inside of the rim to build/true the wheel. Rim manufacturers caught up and created a sealed inner surface and proper bead channels. I remember buying rim strips and building "tubeless" tires when...

F150 Rear Sway Bar for head bobble?

bilstein 4600s are the bilsteins you use if you run it at stock height. Have had them on the rear of my 2016 since new. Better controlled, but no idea if your head will bob less.

BMW Thinks The Electric M3 Is So Good You'll Forget About The Gas One

Driving a manual transmission aggressively requires abrupt throttle closings during gear changes, which create a buttload of emissions. Pretty much every car is drive by wire where the throttle isn't controlled by a cable and controlled by the computer, so the closures are damped and delayed...

Manual Transmission Calling for ATF. Why?

Porsche's have separate clutch and gearbox fluids. You need gear oil for the gearbox/front differential and PDK fluids for the clutches. Yellow is PDK fluid, green is gear oil. Edit: it appears some versions do use a combined fluid.

2027 Nissan Rogue driven by electric motors

Not really. You could tuck a pancake motor into each wheel if you wanted...or make it part of the wheel. Many options. https://www.pmwdynamics.com/products/brushed-pancake-motors/ Edit: Already happening, apparently: BMW's quad motor EV:

    No Civic SI for 2027

The rev-hang and emissions are tied together. Abrupt closures of the throttle cause spikes in emissions which happen all the time if the throttle isn't damped, which causes rev-hang. You get on and off the throttle many times accelerating and decelerating in a manual. That steady pedal...

Aisin Trans. Rec. Fluid Changes Every 12.5K, '25 Rav4

Where did you get that information? That's quite a departure from Toyota's "lifetime" fluid recommendation with an inspection every 30k miles. (from toyota's warranty and maintenance guide) https://assets.sia.toyota.com/publications/en/omms-s/T-MMS-25RAV4HV/pdf/T-MMS-25RAV4HV.pdf

Lunch at a "old school" 'Chinese restaurant

In my 20s, my friends and I would have chinese food at a small restaurant in a mall in calgary. Famous Chinese Restaurant was the name and Eileen was the owner and server. Always great food and small talk about things. They moved to Canmore (1 hour west of Calgary) about 25-30 years ago. I...

Time to move on - Life Changes

Slightly different time in our lives, but we sold our 25' bunkhouse over a year ago. We had one son still coming out, but a lot of that space wasn't used. Between storage, maintenance, winterizing, etc. it was time to let it go. We did our Yukon/Alaska trip with the truck loaded up with tent...

which refrigerator to buy; video from a washer and dryer technician

We bought that Bosch to replace an LG with the infamous "linear compressor" issue in March this year. I don't believe for a minute that it is somehow the best fridge to buy. It seems to work fine for now, but in the long term it seems too complex for all the systems to just keep working...

Lunch at a "old school" 'Chinese restaurant

Fried wontons, hot and sour soup, Fried rice and a lemon/S&R/etc Pork or Chicken. Not sure what I'm missing, but that is normal for a chinese restaurant here. What does a "new" school one look like? This would be a traditional one here: https://tianci.dril.com/ for example:
