    Valvoline Restore and Protect

Having a stash has its advantages for sure. I'm pretty sure Restore and Protect is still punching way above its weight. I wish they'd offer it here in 0W40 or 5W40.

Valvoline Restore and Protect Oil Burner Test Results

With all due respect, IMO a lot depends on how the vehicle is driven, even with "better than" good oils. Case in point, since my wife retired her miles driven dropped in her port injected Liberty from about 12K per year to now less 4K. The car is driven every day short hops and an occasional...

Life Expectancy - Saving and Planning

Man plans and God laughs, one of my favorite sayings..........Funny story. I have a painting buddy whose grandfather was a painter, he had a very successful business from the early 1950's to about 1990 give or take a couple of years. When he retired he figured he'd live to about 85, and would...

What are you working on today?

What you told the client was exactly how I would have handled the problem. Smart people come to their senses like he did! However on occasion the bowl needs to be flushed. Nasty customers trying to get over on me were quickly dumped, it didn't happen often but in my 45+ years of business I...

I tried to retire and failed

It's a great feeling to do whatever you want whenever you want. It's also great to pass on things you don't give a crap about. I didn't realize how great those feeling are until I retired and tried them out. My only regret is I didn't retire at 55, oh well. Once again anyone on the fence about...

    New USPS van

I don't follow them closely enough to know. I would imagine you can get both the single and twin in the RAM, but I'm not sure. I do like the idea of an I6 gas turbo engine. However I would prefer an EFI cast iron sleeved engine vs a DI spray coated cylinder engine like Jeep/RAM is using. I can't...

BMW Thinks The Electric M3 Is So Good You'll Forget About The Gas One

I agree. I think the title is a leap of faith from BMW, a big leap of faith. I have a feeling they won't be selling as many as they hope. Time will tell.

    New USPS van

Correct, that's why I wrote: "I can dream." Actually there are two versions of a Turbo I6 being used in RAM pickups, and the Jeep Grand Cherokee. A single and twin turbo 3.0L I6 but it's way too much engine for that application.

    New USPS van

A nice I6 would have been my choice, I can dream. Otherwise a good non turbo V6. Maybe a diesel I4, dreaming again.

Help me decipher an alignment please

Thank your son for his service. Our son spent about 8 years in San Diego when he was in the USN. I look at tire wear, if they're wearing good I leave them alone. Over the years I had a lot of problems with hacks doing wheel alignments and making the car worse. My 08 Liberty now has 113K miles...
