Actually it doesn't get better even when it's fully warmed up. The issue only seems to be when you are accelerating very fast. In normal driving it seems to go into second without an issue.

I don't have the Budack in my 2019 GLI. But I agree that VW probably just installed the incorrect dipsticks.

Interesting, I have noted on a cold engine the same area on the dipstick. I have never owned a car that didn't properly register on the dipstick.

How does the quality of the current (new version) of Mobil 1 ESP 5w30 compare the the quality of the original Mobil 1 ESP 5w30? Supposedly the original version was made in France and it was of better quality.
