Thanks fellas! - however the selection seems like they are all (licensed?) produced by whomever makes this particular filter - they seem the exact same with different pricing.....don't know for sure of course, but the white (silicone?) ADBV sure seems a telltale....

No luck - cartridge filter, not a can....so I understand the options are few.

Mobil 1 10W-30 High Mileage

Wife got a 2017 E300 Mercedes....got a couple of these filters, so I can do 5000mile interval oil changes instead of the 10000miles recommended by MB....anyone have any ideas/opinions on alternative filters than may be better? 10K interval seems a long time for a DI turbo engine to me.

I don't use much 10W-30 in OPE, mostly 15W-40 for me in all OPE. But when I did I liked Mobil 1 10W-30 High Mileage the best.

With NGK plugs - the 'R' in the model number - it is a resistor plug. Either or will work, I just usually get the R version because it doesn't make a hill of beans difference to the spark....in the real world it either works or the ignition is shot.

While a piston cylinder kit would be ideal.....probably not worth it....a piston and rings ought to be enough to make it a runner. Not worth throwing much money at.

I replace to NGK almost always - but these days be wary of fake NGK plugs....and others too.

No I have not. I see it doesnt even claim JASO FD - so I dont really see a point. AND even higher price. The Motul is most popular with he top unlimited go-cart engine racers in Europe - those spin at sustained 18-20K RPM so its perfect for my 2-stroke stuff.

Echo blowers and weedeaters are great....their chainsaws, not so much. Husqvarna or Stihl (Pro models) for those....or dolmar, they have some great saws too.
