Ever bought a car sight unseen?

If sight unseen means not in-person, then yes. Saw pictures and window sticker on internet. When shopping my Jeep Commander, I knew what I wanted, and found it in Colorado. Did whole transaction via internet, phone and overnight mail. Jeep showed up on a car hauler in my office parking lot...

    Pontoon boats for fishing

Thanks, Sierra. I did online searches and you are right, not much in your area, which is an hour north of me. I agree that outfitting with fishing seats, livewell, trolling motor would be ideal. Seems like most 18s have a 75hp max and a Lowe 19 will take a 90. As one local dealer told me...

    Pontoon boats for fishing

Thanks for all the input. I have been checking used boats locally, but not much available that fits our criteria. Also, used boats seem to be commanding a premium, as there is very little new stock out there due to virus slowdown. If go new, you get warranties, and would likely have to order and...

    Pontoon boats for fishing

Thanks for above advice! To clarify, wife says pontoon so she can take it out with kids/grandkids for tubing, etc. when not fishing. If it were just me, dedicated fish boat.

Anyone have experience with ADP 401k plans?

We are having to change our 401k plan at my business and have looked at American Fund plans and also the ADP Advisor Access. The fees and costs on the ADP plan look very competitive. Our payroll company recently got bought out by ADP and led us to at least consider it since it integrates nicely...

    Pontoon boats for fishing

I live on Lake Lanier in Georgia and am looking at buying a 17 to 19 foot pontoon boat set up for fishing. Probably a 60 to 90 HP motor. We have local dealers that carry Lowe, Suncatcher(G3),Suntracker, Avalon, Landau and a few others. I haven't owned a pontoon before, so am looking for any...

    License Plates

As noted previously, GA only requires a rear plate and we put a new little sticker on the corner of it each year. No window stickers of any kind required where I live. I wouldn't move to a state that requires uglifying the front of my vehicles. When I've bought new cars , I've made the dealers...

Lubegard in a GM transfer case?

I have used Lubegard Gear Protectant mixed in with both my JeepCommander transfer case, as well as my previous Tahoe Z71 transfer case for thousands of miles and many years with no issues and fluid looks good when changing

2005 Corvette harmonic balancer wobbling 70,000 miles

Loosening of the harmonic balancer was a widely known issue, especially with early 2005 cars. The balancer was a press fit on a tapered snout of the crank evidently and many early cars shed theirs with badness ensuing. GM initially came out with a magic "diamond encrusted washer" to try to keep...

Adapter to allow WiFi on 2015 Acer desktop?

Hi all. I'm not exactly a computer geek, so I apologize if this is a stupid question. We just moved my dad into a seniors apt. and they have free WiFi for his use. Unfortunately, his computer is a desktop Acer from 2015 and was previously hooked up to Ethernet cable and doesn't seem to have WiFi...

    Online dating

I am sure it has changed to some degree since I last tried it, but it ended up working for me. After divorce in 2002, tried variety of sites, mainly match.com, but got tired of that and after a few fizzled dating periods, had pretty much given up and figured I'd stay single but saw ads for...

Yamaha dry sump PWC and oil level sensitivity.

Ledslinger, I think you are spot on. I have 2 FXHOs with dry sump systems and I always fill them to at least full if not a little over and haven't ever seen evidence of oil damage to the air filters or contamination of the intake tract

    Mossberg 590/590A1

I think you have a 590A1. The metal trigger guard and bayonet lug are mandatory. I have 2 of them, but without the "speedfeed" in the stock. They are great weapons. Unless you really need the money, don't sell it.

    Stem cell injections for knees?

Yes, they can be used in almost any joint and can help with arthritic pain. Unfortunately, most of the studies and the initial approvals were for knee arthritis, so insurance companies almost never cover it for other joints.

    Stem cell injections for knees?

P10crew Gel One is a type of product known as viscosupplementation. Sort of like STP for the knee joint. It is a synthesized protein gel that mimics healthy joint fluid and may encourage additional production. It is indicated for arthritic knees and almost all insurances and Medicare cover it up...

    Stem cell injections for knees?

For knee arthritis, this can be a reasonable procedure, though as noted above, the worse the arthritis and poorer overall health, the less likely it will help. I have some general comments that may assist. I do these procedures and there is a LOT of misinformation out there. -regarding knee...

    Performance-oriented Dexron III fluids?

I believe Royal Purple Synchromax is specifically designed for this. I've run it in 2 Corvettes with Tremecs as well as E39 M5, and also track days and have had no issues.

    2010 Jeep Commander 5.7 Hemi 78000 miles, 6000 miles on Redline 5w30

Compared with wear metals from other engines, I'd agree the "numbers" aren't the lowest, but for a 5.7 Hemi, I think they are pretty good. If you check out some of the iron and copper levels on UOAs on Ram Forum, I don't think you'll find many with single digit levels.
