    Engine Flush

My gentle flush method is a few short OCI's with M1 full synthetic. In my experience, it does clean well. You don't want to go dislodging chunks of stuff too fast. If you want more opinions, there's about a gazillion posts on the subject, none of which will give you a concrete answer. 😁

    Melling water pump

Their oil pumps and various valvetrain parts are still well regarded and some say oem mfg. Never seen a Melling water pump though.

    Fixing An Oil Leak Help

Maybe offer to take a look at the leak, which would sort of hint that it's a problem. As for the lot... uhh, some of that clear garage floor coating?

    New Tires Search

RT43 seems to have developed a cult following. I certainly wouldn't risk it over $10 if I liked the current tire. I bought a set of tires a few months ago. They went from $47 to $65 in the past few years. I had CS5 on a vehicle. They rode smooth but were very stiff and had poor traction in...

Considering Buying A New Furnace - HVAC Brands And Who Makes Them

My system is the one that came with the house when it was built in 1979. I've replaced a blower motor, condensor motor and a few capacitors so far. It works as it should, knock on wood. Meanwhile I see mention of folks with much newer, sometimes just a few years old, that start breaking. HVAC...

It is about that time for some heat

Lit the pilot lite two days ago on my natural gas in a 42 year old GE hvac system. Not the most efficient, but works flawlessly (knock on wood).

    PurolatorONE PL14476 2700 Miles

Not to be that guy that gives obvious information, but obvious information - buy 5 qt jugs and use what you need then use the rest next oil change. I have a burner and no way I'm paying single quart price, but I'm not about to do a 3k change either.

Comma Motorsport 5w50 vs Motul Sport Ester 5w50

Guys, it's "Comma"... they're not done yet. More to come. Look for the new "Period" oil. That'll be the finished product with approvals.

2013 Honda Accord steering rack bad?

Off the cuff, I'm not sure a bad rack can cause a pull. If it were somehow pointing a wheel outward or inward, you'd still point forward just with increased or decreased toe, correct?

    BITOG Best Oil Filters.....

Yeah it's like a swarm of bees after a pot of honey, these type topics. You just have to look at specs. Micron rating, efficiency, flow rate, filter media. I thought I found my 'favorite' filter in a Wix XP then realized the micron rating was higher than cheaper Wal-Mart Frams.

VERY Short Winter Trip on Summer Tires

I assumed the cracking was the cheaper brands. Would a Michelin really have any possibility of cracking in whatever cold weather you put it in?

    All Terrain Width

Well on moderately maintained forest roads, I'd stick with oem width. This is nothing special, frankly any truck/suv tire can handle it with the exception of some cheap asian/house brands. Traditionally, one would air down on bumpy forest roads to smooth out the ride, but you don't have much...

    2014 Mazda CX-5 2.5L 128k / Mazda 0w-20 6.8k

Makes me wonder how much coolant is 162 ppm. Anything's possible, including lab contamination. I guess you checked the coolant for oil drops. My daily beater putted along 50,000 miles on a slightly leaky head gasket before it showed any noticeable symptoms.
