    Homemade Ramps

There are several of us here that use wooden ramps. Just not hollow ramps put together with a nail gun. Screwed and glued solid wood ramps are all I ever used when servicing semis.

Does this look like a new serpentine belt?

I would like to see a pic from farther away but in that pic the rubber coating looks old and worn down. It looks like it has the polished look of a old belt.

    Anybody make beef jerky?

I use a mixture of roughly half and half of Dale's sauce and Coke then dust with coarse black pepper. I don't marinate it though, I just lay the meat out on some foil on the smoker and brush the mixture on.

    Motorcycle Break in period?

I have heard a Kawasaki dealer say that the warning label on the tach was just to keep new riders from killing themselves on the way home.

Probably with an accumulator, but that would only allow temporary braking.

Chrysler works basically the same way, they just haven't removed the master cylinder yet. It is mostly there just for the pedal feel.

I do not like the in channel style. I have had problems with them interfering with the window closing properly.

    Seized chainsaw chain links

You may need to degrease the chain first so that it doesn't repel your water based soda or vinegar soak.

Can I use tap water for initial flushing???

I always flush with running water similar to using one of the Tee's in the heater hose. I usually take a heater hose loose and connect the water hose to it, run the engine and let it flush out of the open side of the heater hose. It is best to remove the thermostat and on some systems the...

    Pellet smokers any good?

Pellet smokers can make great food and are really easy to use. It is like the crock pot of smokers. I like real wood fire myself, but it is more work.

    Wrecked my bike

Glad you are ok, not second guessing you one bit. I try to stay as far away from trucks as possible. I normally follow them off of their left corner for a bit where I can clearly see their mirror and am normally pushing 100 when I come past the cab. That is just how I do it. I worry as much...

Who Is Running A .22 L.R. Conversion On Their AR-15?

I have one I don't remember if it was CMMG or something else. The only mags I have ever had were Blackdog machine and the first ones I had were all plastic. The bolt ended up breaking the rear of the feed lips, I think it had to do with the last round hold open. They have them with metal lips...

Should I run 5w30 in my ram hemi for towing

I am about an hour north of Tallahassee Florida, down in the south west corner, in Mitchell county. Normally you can pull on the heat shields to see if the bolts are broke. It is almost always one of the rear most bolts. The factory uses stainless bolts to mount the heat shields, we always...

Warranty denied due to oil viscosity.

We just were discussing this at work, but not about the grade of oil. We had a 2.4 Journey dropped off that the engine has two different knocks going on. This one has the added care extended warranty, we will have to tear it down to the point of failure and they will send an inspector. He could...
