    Goldwing Traxxion

Yup. I added Traxxion AK20 cartridges to my Thruxton to replace the damper rod internals back in '05. Awesome. I kept the carts when I sold the bike, and Traxxion adapted them to my F800S. It was like $1100 initially (and a bit more to fit them to the F800) but worth every penny. Especially...

What Oil For BMW Water Cooled Boxer?

I would use T6. I'm working on a stash of M1 TDT that I have been using in my camhead RT, but would use the T6 in the wasserboxer.

    New Truimph Motorcycles

I had a 2002 SpeedTriple and a 2004 Thruxton. The triple was fun and fast but mine had a few efi issues (Triumph canned that Sagem system for Keihin in...2005? or so so that is no longer a concern) The Thruxton was a beautiful motorcycle and very fun to ride. I did track days on it, that engine...

    Any Triumph Rocket owners here?

Well done, Sir! Enjoy it in good health! You just don't see these things on every corner, and that is worth something.

    Any Triumph Rocket owners here?

Bob Carpenter has a few tricks for these. I got to see the "Silverback" at a bike show a couple years back. They eventually got the thing into the 8's! http://carpenterracing.com/sbp_TRIII.htm

    BITOG Favorite Cigarettes Thread

LSMFT! Real Lucky Strikes are good smokes, but they are almost cigar like in as much as you just can't go torquing them down day in day out. Fairly certain that most people know that tobacco use is unhealthy already, so probably not necessary to remind anyone.

    Dog Bite

Responsible breeding is important in all breeds, and just as important as responsible ownership. Dogs that do not display a steady, predictable, and even temperment should be spayed/neutered. They should actually be spayed/neutered as a matter of course if there is no intent to breed them. Breed...

    Oskkosh JLTV

With the award of this contract, Oshkosh pretty much becomes the exclusive supplier of wheeled vehicles to the Army. Interesting that they are using the Duramax engine in the JLTV.

should the LIM in Gm V6's be replaced as PM?

We had like 23X,000 miles from new on one of these (1993 vintage) before the car got really rusty. Replaced the gaskets once, not a big deal. I wouldn't change them if they weren't leaking, though. I see no reason to avoid the engine family as a whole.

    Home AC system routine maintenance

I like Evap Foam for cleaning the indoor coils, works well and smells nice but Formula 409 works, too. It's good to flush the condensate drain line with some bleach and hit it with a shop vac if it doesn't flow freely. Some motors have a lubrication requirement.

My thoughts on Amsoil Dominator 2-stroke in gas

I've used Dominator almost exclusively (couple pints of Redline when the Dominator supply dried up) for about 3,000 miles. This is a pretty severe duty cycle, seeing full throttle max RPM for miles at a time. Sparg plug stays clean, usually change out at about 1500 miles. No smoke that is...

New bike, new fluids but bad luck with M1 TDT

I remember that M1 TDT sale. I scored a pretty good grip of it. The coolant that my BMW water pumper calls for is with silicates and without nitrates. May be worth cross referencing to see what Kawasaki had in mind.

    OIl level sight glass ....ridiculous

So long as the glass is on the right side of the bike, it's an easy day. Grab the right grip, squeeze the front brake, pull the bike off the sidestand while taking a knee and observe the sight glass. Much better than dipstick, as far as I'm concerned.
