Also, I even went to their site and put in the vehicle and vehicle specific oil and that brought up the correct weight.

    Losing Faith...

Oh I don't intend on being rude about asking them I just know the feeling of somebody questioning you when you're doing all you know. Which in this case was the guys computer screen and it almost always sounds like they're being a **** by questioning them. That's why I asked really.. She knows...

    Losing Faith...

So my girlfriend went to our local auto parts store(O'Reily's) to pick up a quart of oil for her Mercedes G500. First, she didn't tell me anything about it being low or anything of the nature. She just told me her car told her that it is 1qt low so she took initiative to go get it herself..then...

Rusty Oil Filter, should I use it?

It's just surface rust, right? You should be able to just rub it off. One of the best ways to get it off would actually be to use some of your old/used oil and a rag. I used to do that at work when I'd come across an older filter that had been sitting for awhile. Just got some oil on a rag and...

Having very difficult time removing custom wheels

I'm kind of confused about the locking nut question.. it has the place for a socket built on the end of it. Typically it will be the same size as the rest of the lug nuts, but you're working with afermarket stuf so you never know.

    Tacoma oil change

At the end of the day, that is all that matters. Piece of mind. Good choices by the way. My dad has a '13 Tacoma and loves it. Great truck. He actually has the same oil/filter set up as you. Mobil 1 5w-30 and K&N filter. It does everything he asks of it as a mid sized truck. Except gas...

First oil filter you ever installed or used?

I'm pretty sure my first oil changes were done with the good ole Fram Orange Can - 3387. I'm 26 now and my first oil changes were on my first car(obviously) a '95 Beretta Z26(Good ole 3.1!). We still have it in the family as it got handed down to my younger brother but he didn't really take care...

How often do you change your oil?

I pretty much just stick to 5k intervals. I used to only do 3k but then I learned that it's just a waste. Even 5k still isn't maximixing my oil and filter capabilities(Penn. Ultra) but I like to get under there and check things out and if I'm taking the skid plate/belly pan off I'm going to make...
