Any synthetic blend for my 2017 Elantra?

Hi, I am ready for my second oil change on my 2017 Hyundai Elantra SE with 8,300 miles. First change was free at dealer which I did at around 3000 miles. Should I just use any 5W-20 synthetic blend oil or go with a full synthetic? I do plan on keeping the car long term, 10 + years or so. Also...

How I miss the the old days....

This is why I am glad I brought my 2017 Hyundai Elantra SE Value Edition.....naturally aspirated engine, multi port injection. NO direct injection, traditional 6 speed auto trans, NO CVT and NO turbo!

    Transmission fluid 2017 Elantra

I can imagine taking my 2017 Elantra to the dealer with ONLY 10K and ask for ATF change! They probably would laugh or tell you I am wasting my money!

    Transmission fluid 2017 Elantra

10,0000 miles?? Seems like way overkill to me and a waste of money.

    Transmission fluid 2017 Elantra

Hi, I own a 2017 Hyundai Elantra SE Value Edition with just 2800 miles. Just thinking ahead of course, when should the automatic transmission fluid be changed? I know the new models no longer have an ATF dipstick and supposedly its a "sealed system" that is maintenance free. But I feel uneasy...

    5W-30 for longer engine life?

Sounds good, guys...thanks. Just for the fun of it, I will try 5W-30 for my first oil change which I think I will do at around 3000 miles, than do 6000 OCI.

    5W-30 for longer engine life?

Recently purchased a new 2017 Elantra SE Value Edition. I plan to keep this care very long term...10-12 years or so. I drive about 12,000 a yearly, mainly in the suburbs of Central NJ. Hyundai calls for EITHER 5W-20 or 5W-30 in owner's manual. Although the oil change is mark 5W-20. Would using a...

FULL synthetic or blend for my 2017 Elantra?

Hi, I have a new 2017 Hyundai ELantra SE Value Edition, currently with 1600 miles. I am thinking of dumping the factory fill a bit early around 2000 miles. Would this new Atkinson engine really benefit from a full 5W-20 synthetic like PP, or just use a top quality 5W-20 synthetic blend?? I plan...

2017 Elantra, dump factory oil sooner??

Hi, I own a 2017 Hyundai Elantra Value Edition that I purchased 5 weeks ago, which I love. I currently have 1450 miles on it and was wondering if there is any REAL benefit to dumping the factory oil now and refilling? I always hear and read about the so called "metal shavings" in new factory...

    2017 Elantra SE Value Edition

My New 2017 Elantra SE Value Edition in "Mineral Beige" I really dont know why Hyundai calls this color beige. To my eyes, it more like silverstone or bone. I know this color isnt everybody's taste, but I think it looks kinda elegant.

2017 Elantra SE or 2017 Civic LX

Im gonna give the Elantra another shot with a more extensive test drive this week. I am thinking that the car I tested may have had dramatically overinflated tires, thus the kinda harsher ride. The 2017 Elantra is NOT known for harsh ride, so im thinking that may be the issue.

2017 Elantra SE or 2017 Civic LX

I love the both the exterior and interior of the Elantra just a bit more than the Civic, its just a shame that the Elantra suspension is slight a bit harsh. The difference, to me, is night and day compared to the Civic LX.

2017 Elantra SE or 2017 Civic LX

In the Central NJ area, for every 17 Elantra I see (which is NOT MANY), I see 10 16/17 Civics! They are ALL over the place here! Any idea why 2017 Elantra sales have been so abysmal??

2017 Elantra SE or 2017 Civic LX

Big Buck, I see VERY little teenagers driving the new Civic, mostly 30-50 year olds. VW GIT I see younger! My 77 year old neighbor has a 2016 Civic LX!

2017 Elantra SE or 2017 Civic LX

duck, Not me! I think those alloys are WAY too busy looking! Give me a headache just looking at them! IF I go with the LX trim, I will probably replace steel wheels with a more conservative style alloy.

GM Boy.... Yes i have, but as im sure you know, the reliability of the Cruze and Focus have been ROCK BOTTOM from almost the first model year! NO THANKS to either of them! Although, I will say, the new Cruze is a sweet ride!
